She made it. She really did. When she had entered the city, all she could do was trying not to pass out because of the smell of shit and blood. But right now, as she was watching the city from far above, she was certain. Standing on the balcony of the Tower of the Hand, she tried to stomach what had happened to her in the past month, and did not succeed. She had made acquintance with one of the mightiest men on the Western continent. She lived in one of the most breathtaking cities in the known world. And most of all, she had found a man that was kind, funny and smart. All of what her jealous sisters had told her she would never have. How difficult it was to fulfill her dream of travelling to Westeros. When she was nine years old, she heard all sorts of tales about the Seven Kingdoms when selling fish by the docks of Volantis. She remembered the laughter of her sisters when she asked her mother if they could go to magical place beyond the ocean the fishermen called the Narrow Sea. And how, from this day on, she saved one coin a day to afford a place on a ship, until her thirteenth nameday on which she left the house with a long letter for her mother. On this warm yet foggy morning, she left Volantis on a trading galley called Queen’s Gold, which headed towards Lys, Tyrosh and finally, Sunspear. Her destination of dreams.
