Yarn weights drive me nuts. First of all the "common names" are totally random and confusing. 0, 1, and 2 can all be called "baby". I've seen 3 called "baby" before too. Also I've bought 4/medium yarn that really should have been labeled 3/light based on the tension I had to use for my knitting machine.

I don't think there's any real control for any of this shit. I'm not even going to get into how some brands barely label their yarns...

also too add more confusion there are needle/hook size conversions so you gotta watch where your pattern/yarn came from :')
