will having screentime in s5 is not enough i need him to have a gun (again)

I just wanna say how good the writing is that Will and Mike have one line of one on one interaction before he goes missing - and I think in all of season 1 total - and it totally conveys that they have a special and closer relationship and makes Mike’s more extreme reactions make total sense (and not make it seem like Lucas and Dustin like…don’t care about Will in contrast). It’s just so clear and you don’t even question it that their relationship is just…different. And they set that up so well by basically just having Will casually say

“Even with little things, I can’t lie to you.”

My god it worked so well you’re just like oh they’re like *things you don’t even expect from people* close. Like there were zero stakes. It wasn’t some moral dilemma. It wasn’t actively keeping anything from Mike. I doubt Mike even would have been upset, he very well could have allowed a reroll anyways. But it doesn’t matter. In setting up that there are no real stakes in keeping it from him, they made the only motivation in that line be that Will just…doesn’t like keeping things from Mike. And the fact that they have fun playing D&D together and that Will can’t lie to Mike is all we need to justify like “I’m the only one who cares about Will!” level stuff for the rest of the season and I just think that was really well done.

So… I had this color palette… and I escalated. Because I was in dire need of some fluff, but I also wanted some more angst and yeah. This happened.

At some point Keith fell in love with the Champion who in return loved his Emperor. And with “love” I mean he’d burn the whole damn universe to ashes for Keith with an almost animalistic kind of conation. His heart might be shattered, a blackness festering at its very core, but it will always know where it belongs.

So Keith fell. And he fell hard. Despite the tragedy he knew this was bound to end in.

keith running hellbent toward shiro’s lion at the end of s2, a scene so important they showed it again at the start of s3

keith jumping over the back of the couch to follow shiro to bed? keith having shiro’s clothes? matching fanny packs omg?

keith and shiro saying each other’s names a collective 66 times in season 2

keith spending months looking for shiro’s body, effectively giving up voltron over his loss, and refusing the black lion multiple times

that fond look as keith realizes they’ve found shiro followed by the most romantic looking scene possible, the implication that keith is the only one shiro is comfortable seeing, the implication… that’s… keith’s room?

even if sheith is never made explicit, honestly this is more fuel than most canon romances get. and that’s to say nothing of all interviews about shiro and keith being the closest, the black lion getting from shiro what he saw in keith, keith being terrified of pushing shiro away, etc.
