Extra Fluffy Vegan Banana Pecan Waffles
I can make a lot of these for even less than the listed price.
I finally went for a run! I mentioned I was considering going on a run before work and my dad was all like "I'll come with!" So then I had to go. Roughly 4km in about half an hour Feels pretty great tbh
Healthy French Toast
Serves: 2
Ingredients:
3-4 slices of good quality wholegrain or gluten-free bread
1 tbsp chia seeds (ground into a fine meal if you want them undetectable)
1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or other non-dairy milk)
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp coconut oil, for frying
To serve:
1-2 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
Fresh berries, banana (optional)
Chopped nuts, seeds or cacao nibs
Method:
Combine all ingredients except the bread and maple syrup in a large, shallow bowl. Place in the fridge for 10 minutes for the chia seeds to activate for 10 minutes.
Dip each slice of bread in the batter for about 30 seconds each side.
Add coconut oil to a pan on medium-high heat until melted. Place each slice of bread in the pan and cook, until golden brown on the underside. Flip and cook the other side until brown as well â 3-4 minutes.
Divide onto two plates and top with fresh fruit, maple syrup and any other additional toppings â get creative!
I did know it was Global Running Day until just now, but I timed my first run in forever perfectly! Like I said, first run in forever, starting with week 3 of 7 on a 10k run app! I feel like I could probably have done more than I did but I don't want to hurt myself and it felt good! I have a 5k obstacle run in the middle of July so it was past time to start running! I'm aiming for a time around the 30-min mark but it's not exactly set in stone. I'll see how I feel about it! As long as I do it! Feels great to be back out, and don't forget to bring water!
So I've been quite inactive
For the past couple of months Iâve fallen off the wagon. Iâve eaten like shit and I havenât worked out nearly as much as I wanted to. Iâve alternated periods where Iâve eaten everything with periods where Iâve eaten way too little and it is just not healthy. This blog started as a way to motivate me to lose weight but I donât really need to lose that much weight anymore and it is time for me to start of using on health. Weight loss is not worth it if you risk your health.
Iâve been a vegetarian since the beginning of March in the way that I still let myself eat meat once in a while. While I feel like Iâm cheating when I do it it is a technique that actually work since it encourages me to stay on track. It is better to eat meat every now and then than to eat meat all the time. It doesnât make me less of a vegetarian.
I soon go back to live with my parents over summer which means I will lose a bit of control over what I eat, but I will use this time to make a GOOD plan for when I get back to my own apartment. I try to base all my meals around protein and Iâm going to use this summer to find more and more ways to get more protein into my diet.
(Anyone who calls me a murderer for eating meat or tells me Iâm not a real vegetarian can stick it where the sun doesnât shine and consider themselves blocked. Iâm doing this for me, not for you.)
Wheezywaiter has inspired me to get off my butt and go for a run! I just need to charge my phone a little or itâll never lastÂ
I hate how female fitness culture is so butt-centric. Literally every fitness program for women is designed to âbuild a bootyâ or some shit like that. People encourage women to squat but discourage them from other lifts or from lifting heavy because itâll make them âtoo bulkyâ for a woman. According to our society, having a big butt is sexy and feminine, but having a broad back or muscular arms and shoulders is âgrossâ and âmasculine.â I feel weâre basically equating fitness with sex appeal, and that bothers the hell out of me. Letâs start glorifying STRONG women, not just women who are conventionally âsexy.â
Went to the gym today to run! I have a 5k in a couple of months and I want to run it in about 30-40 min. It was a nice run, not too exhausting, and I still have strength to go downtown with a friend! Sushi time!
I completely forgot to upload the photos from yesterday! I went to a 30 min Core workout at the gym which was killer, and then followed up with 3km on the treadmill at a 6.5-7.0kmh. I was supposed to play football with a bunch of friends in the evening but I was already getting sore so I joined my friend in watching instead. I am so sore today I'm not kidding. It's been a while since I was this sore and I love it! Such a rewarding feeling! Even if it means I'll walk like a duck today

you need food to survive. you need food to sustain and nourish your being. you do not need to stress, count, and worry yourself into extinction. you are more than a number on a scale. you are more than a number on a kcal counter. you can not be defined by something as insignificant as the amount of food you consume in a day. once you learn to let go of these things that bind you, you can enjoy life more.
you can enjoy you more.
Back in the gym after a little time off but itâs nice to see my hamstring flexibility consistently improving from yoga! Pistol squats are so much fun đđŒ
youre so cute. and your legs look so muscular. but i wish you had posted the awkward vid too.
Wanna hear a joke?

YOU ARENâT GOING TO SEE ANY PROGRESS UNTIL YOU GET YOUR NUTRITION IN LINE. ITâS NOT MAGIC. YOU CANâT JUST HOPE FOR IT. YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR IT.
