hate when I'm trying to just take a normal drink but it turns out I'm thirstier than I thought so I end up gulping it down like a goddamn cartoon characer. the indignity of water lust.
Thereâs something about seeing Jimin be so free and happy. I wish he continues to be like that. Thereâs a shift with how he acts, and Iâm loving this version of Jimin.
I know EXACTLY what you mean and Iâm so relieved someone else thinks the same way. I thought about mentioning this earlier but I was afraid it was just me.
Itâs probably confidence. Thereâs so much confidence radiating off of him, I definitely get more freedom in how he acts. He seems happy. I canât wait to see how these changes channel into his next solo era, itâs going to be so much fun. đľâđŤ
18 months in the military and he comes up with the clearest skin, the rosiest cheeks, giggly and cutieful and toof intact. This is the best day of my life.
hate when I see the comment "big news for unemployed people" on internet drama. really discounting the dedication of us chronically online employed people. does my 15 minutes in a public restroom at work scrolling online mean nothing to you...
just remember, tense your shoulders, grit your teeth, take rapid shallow breaths and say to yourself âoh shit, oh fuck, this is all my faultâ
u ever have a stress dream so crazy u wake up feelin like scrooge being given a second chance at life
i have suffered less than christ but have complained way more abt it
I really wouldâve have just done what I needed to do voting wise and moved past armys doing what theyâre doing now cause itâs typical. But considering they were just ignoring death threats towards Jimin just days ago and now want to talk about Jimin being so âsacrificialâ I really canât, cause all this is genuinely upsetting me.
One minute youâre co-signing that heâs a manipulative evil person in these taekook fanfics or the company favorite and the next heâs the sweetest person whoâs ever lived that will gladly give up everything for his âbrothers.â
Firstly, the blood running through those other menâs veins will never be familial to Jimin so armys really need to dead that cause Iâm tired of seeing it. Especially when they never say the same of the other members of BTS. Itâs literally always used as a silencing tactic, itâs extremely disingenuous and I donât understand how they donât see the optics of that. Like can yâall not see how yâall are inadvertently admitting that yâall know the other members arenât as gracious as yâall have made them out to be? Why donât the other 6 ever feel the same kind of sacrificial spirit yâall always thrust upon Jimin come award season?
Everybody else can be as greedy and ambitious as they want to be when it comes to their solo careers, but Jimin doesnât even get a choice in the matter. He automatically becomes this doormat that never wants anything more than to see the rest of the members succeed. Yâall only ever recognize his kindness when itâs time to knock him down a peg or boost another member on his back. I am so exhausted of armys and their gaslightingâŚacting like they donât treat Jimin horrendously and donât just see him as part of a set while the other members are free to not be tied down to the group during their solo endeavors.
Yâall talk about how solos are only doing harm towards Jimin, but we and the genuine Jimin biased armys left in that fandom are all he has to actually advocate for him to have something to himself. Because if it was up to armys, he wouldnât have anything. Iâve never seen somebody get persecuted and shunned just because he dared be successful and by his own supposed fans at that. And yâall seriously cannot continue to act like this is normal or be shocked that yâall are one of the main reasons why most of us felt the need to leave that fandom so we could fight for Jimin since yall wonât.
Iâm sure Iâm reiterating a point that longer fans of Jimin have already touched upon, but one of my favorite things about Jiminâs personality is his ability to match the energy of those he interacts with. Astonishingly, heâs able to do it verbally, using body language, and in writing, where most people struggle with at least one of the three. (As someone where all three are not an innate skill, itâs incredibly impressive.)
Iâve seen older footage of Jimin and it wasnât always as refined as it is now, especially when he was seemingly trying to juggle his assigned debut role as âcharmingly flirtatious dancer guy with musclesâ and his naturally sweet nature that never failed to peek through the veneer in Bangtan Bombs/Episodes.
Iâve seen School Trilogy/Dark & Wild era interviews where heâs aiming for teasing and he accidentally hits an insecurity, or heâs trying cheeky and it reads as borderline rude. But once that persona got modified as he grew and the concept changed (slowly starting in HYYH, IMO), heâs seemed consistently good at reading the room and matching the tone of the interview or situation to best promote social harmony in the interaction. Itâs not always to the benefit of whoever is trying to keep the interaction âon the railsâ, though, because if the predominant mood of the room is mischief or trolling, he rises to the occasion admirably. He can revel in a high-chaos environment and will occasionally stir the pot to add entertainment value, but even that Iâd consider reading the room.
So when I see all these translated WeVerse replies and how clearly heâs matching tones (joking at funny comments, sincere when needed, eloquent at the long heartfelt messages), it makes me glad heâs showing by example how to curate a positive fan environment. Admittedly, heâs benefiting from the scarcity of his social media presence to encourage genuinely happy comments instead of mainly weird ones, but all the ones I saw him reply to seemed appropriate and innocent. Of course antis will make something out of nothing whenever he so much as breathes, but his social acumen makes rational people read the messages and wonder why on Earth theyâre hating on someone like Jimin for nothing at all.
Artists who treat their fans as people and focus on the part of their art thatâs in their control (their output and effort as opposed to fan response) seem to have more career longevity than those who spend years trafficking in nostalgia and gimmicks (looking at you, Brian May, what are you doing to Queenâs legacy).
Emotional intelligence is one of those skills that we always seem to assume is innate instead of learned, but in reality itâs just taught less and is sometimes outright discouraged in boys. So when I encounter emotionally intelligent men, I marvel at them and the example theyâre setting for their peers by being unapologetically in-tune with the inner lives and feelings of themselves and those around them and feel a strong sense of gratitude that they exist.
(It also seems on-brand that he ranged from âprovide proofâ to âwhat on Earth are you talking aboutâ in regards to the joke ultimatums. Heâs demanding those fans put their money where their mouth is regarding exam scores and public embarrassment in return for his acknowledgment, as he should!)
It's moments like this that makes you think "wow, this group needs to disband" like I'm not joking. This whole thing is a farce.
Because jimin could come on weverse now and these people will act like they're happy with his presence.
They keep saying "solos are guiltripping us" and Y'all are the ones actively trying to stop people from voting for him when everyone could have just voted for the member they preferred. Literally no one cares if Y'all decide to vote for RM, all pjms are saying is for you to stop mentioning jimin, stop using him as your motivation. Stop acting like he deserves it less.
"Well he's gotten awards in the past" and this same thing happened. The only reason why he's ever won anything over the others has always been because Y'all make these exact same tweets that motivate his stans to work harder.
"We got him a daesang" a daesang that half of you were hoping for enhypen to win, and that the other half only ended up voting for last minute because enhypen stans started to shade y'all and bts. I vividly remember a lot of armys being against him winning the daesang.
So when exactly is he going to be deserving of winning. And it's funny because they say other members deserve because jimin has more western awards right? But still say jungkook was robbed and he deserved when he literally has gotten more US awards and noms than any other member when he's only put out 1 album...
Y'all hate him so much then wonder why his stans hate Y'all and the group. And everyday I will be praying for bts' disbandment just to see jimin free from Y'all. And if not a disbandment I need the rumours of him signing with another label to be real, because Y'all are never going to respect him until you get a wake up call.
And these fight to give these other men some recognition is simply because they're scared of what the lack of accolades breeds in their minds. Namjoon and jhope basically told them they've been unhappy with their solo careers so they do all these things to appease them, almost like begging someone to stay.
But armys think jimin is secure in bts, they think he should be because he's successful. They think they do not have to give him anything because he has never given any indication that he's unhappy with bts, because he doesn't come on live to make snide comments while looking unhappy. They think they don't have to try for him because they're not scared of him leaving.
They don't even care about how he must have felt all these years being the villain in someone else's fabricated love story. Or do they think he isn't aware of how most of the fandom feel about him? He stopped coming on social media for a reason.
Armys don't care though because he doesn't act miserable like certain members. Like how do you think jimin feels about his father being harassed? Something that armys actively try to ignore.
They have collectively decided that he's worth nothing.
Cry about him being successful and the others not doing as well when y'all simply don't like their music... make it sense.
A million playlists makes no difference if you still don't enjoy the music you're streaming.
How will the group and the fandom recover from this AMA mess?
Have you noticed the constant repetition of our leader RM all over social media? Namjoon? The guy who has made it pretty clear since the start of their hiatus that he's uncomfortable with being the leader? The one whose most recent album reeks of anger, resentment, and disillusionment? The one who recorded an album where the only commonality with K-Pop is the use of the Korean language? Okaaaaaaay.
Something feels off about what is going on with this AMA award. Why is there so much pressure to vote for Namjoon when he clearly isn't the one who's most popular in the US. Hell, he's not the most popular anywhere. And why the focus on him being the leader? I get the feeling HYBE is behind this campaign - everything feels too fast and too coordinated. We know they've been manipulating fans via social media for years, and now they even have a professional PR firm to do their dirty work.
Of all the members, Namjoon has shown the least enthusiasm about returning as a group. Right Place, Wrong Person wasn't written to appeal to BTS fans. If anything, Namjoon was eschewing all things BTS and Kpop industry. All this focus on the fandom calling him "our leader" (oh, that's so weird) is nothing short of guilt tripping him back into his old role. Equally, by encouraging ARMYs to vote against Jimin, he is being pushed back into his role as chief BTS cheerleader rather than a successful soloist.
If Namjoon wins, he'll be in a very awkward position when it comes to Jimin. He's had an extraordinary year in the US thanks to the love and support of his fans. Can you imagine how embarrassing it would be for RM to receive an award he and the rest of the world know he didn't deserve and was given to him out of a sense of obligation and pity? And if Jimin wins, he runs the risk of receiving even more rancor, rage, and backlash from ARMYs. Either way, both RM and Jimin stand to lose good will and support from the fandom. Why? Have they not signed their solo contracts yet? Is Hybe trying to damage their reputations by pitting the two of them against each other?
Finally, screw ARMYs for being obsessed with BTS returning to what they once were. Those days are over.
gosh, this is so true
At this point, itâs not even about the vote. We all know whatâs going on. The way people quickly agreed that Namjoon âdeserves it moreâ and that Jimin âalready has enoughâ says a lot, and not in a good way.
When you talk like that, youâre not just expressing a preference. Youâre deciding whoâs allowed to be celebrated and who needs to step aside. Youâre turning Jiminâs success into something uncomfortable. Something to tone down. The usual excuse? âHeâd be happy for Namjoon.â Sure. But that doesnât mean we should always expect him to be the one clapping from the sidelines. Thatâs not support. Thatâs erasure dressed up as maturity.
And letâs be real, if you say Namjoon should win, itâs called critical thinking. If you say Jimin should win, itâs solo behavior. This fandom has created a hierarchy of whose voice is valid, and Jimin fans are constantly told to shut up or stay grateful. In every vote, itâs the same. Jimin is never the default choice. Support only kicks in when PJMs do the work. And then people act like it was collective all along. It wasnât. It never is.
You can vote for whoever you want. But the second you start deciding whose art is more worthy, whose career can âwait,â or who should be happy just cheering others on, youâre not being fair. Youâre being selective.
Whatâs happening now isnât just about AMAs. Itâs about who this fandom is comfortable seeing win. And the truth is, Jimin makes people uncomfortable when he takes up space. Thatâs why they only clap for him when heâs quiet.
So no, this isnât about whoâs better. Itâs about whoâs allowed to be loved out loud. And whether youâre ready for it or not, Jimin will be.
JIMIN â LIKE CRAZY (2023.03.24)
just stumbled across this old demo of strangers from when @vyva-melinkolya first laid down her guitars and lapsteel. good memories :)
If WHO manages to last long enough to beat Dynamite for longest k act song on hot100, it'll get announced on SMF2's 2nd anniversary.
AND DID!
Happy 2 year anniversary to the song that started Jiminâs record breaking solo career off and congrats to WHO!

I know Jimin cares a lot about BTS and his closest friends, and thatâs totally fine. But I canât help but wonder: does he have any other idol friends outside of BTS? From what we see, it doesnât really seem like he has strong bonds with anyone else in the industry. Of course, thatâs just an observation not a criticism. But since heâs so reserved, itâs hard for people outside the fandom to truly appreciate him. Sometimes, it feels like he never really goes out or enjoys himself. He doesnât attend concerts, he rarely does spontaneous lives like Jungkook or Jhope, and we donât often see him just having fun in a carefree way. And at the end of the day, itâs hard to attract new fans if youâre so closed off and distant.
Well, it's hilarious that you bring up Jungkook and Hoseok and compare them to Jimin because the biggest popstars in the world are, and have always been, the absolute complete opposite of Jungkook and Hoseok when it comes to behavior.
I don't even want to get into a litany of examples but the most prominent example that I can give is Harry Styles. Do you think people know ANYTHING about Harry? Like.. anything at all? The last time he even gave an interview was like 5 years ago. Yeah sometimes he rides a green bike around London and he travels a lot abroad, but what exactly does that say about him? Nothing. I can't think of a more closed off and distant popstar than Harry, and nonetheless he's widely popular and loved.
On the other hand, you have Taehyung who's so "carefree" and "close" to his fans and yet flopping in every way that matters, which is music.
I think some people also have to be honest with themselves and realize that maybe they want to know all these things about Jimin, but know that it's deranged behavior so you try to pass it off as "concern" that he's not doing enough to get more fans. If you're curious, there's nothing wrong with admitting it.
I'm serious, some of you guys need to stop making up issues and start looking at the big picture. If you even care about Jimin at all and you aren't just faking interest to try and bring him down with useless comparisons, because there's no way you need to wonder if he has idol friends.. that's information anyone who's ever paid attention to Jimin already knows.
