Boke is slang in Ireland and Scotland…. It isn’t Ulster Scots….
well according to them it is :/ and now u said it i decided to look it up and it is of Ulster scots origin but some sites say its a slang word from Scotland and Northern Ireland.
'Boke' is a word of Scottish origins, Ulster Scots takes its origins mainly from scotland. It is not a slang word because it is used in every day life as the meaning 'to vomit' and is in the Ulster scots language. It does not take origins from Ireland but Scotland.
