I never intended to have more than one of these, but it's hard to resist the allure of officially approved, collectible merchandise. I gave into impulse and brought home my ComicCon Sheldon to realize that my two favorite American fictional characters are (aside from their self-absorption)  diametric opposites. 

First is the gregarious, indulgent, inarticulate, happy-go-lucky, adrift buffoon and second is the god-complex, over-achieving, anal retentive brainiac who manages to offend everyone. It could be argued that Homer also lacks the social graces of your every day human being, but he still seemingly gets along with everyone where the same cannot be said for Sheldon. 

And in all this, the thought occurred to me: Sheldon for all his intellect and insight lacks the simple everyday wisdom that Homer shows with semi-regularity.

I find it amusing that my two favorite characters are such opposites. Who would win in battle? It's hard to say but I think Sheldon's head would explode before anything else could happen.

There are words to describe this...they aren't real words and don't make sense but they are offensive. Much like what this woman is saying. Apparently gays die young unless they are celibate and in SF all the kids rape each other (because gay that's why). Oh AIDS - all this time you were just Candida Fungus. My brain is melting.
