ive just came to a conclusion .hear me out:

before, i talked about the fact that “light” is just an act to seem normal, and kira is light in his truest form .

but i think that light and kira strongly represent two very different sides of the same man.

kira is god-like, cunning, and powerful. he believes he is (a) god because of his act of cleansing the world from evil . he believes he is creating a new world , a better world , and he truly thinks that he is the only one that can do it , that no one else can do what hes doing , that he was the chosen one . kira represents the psychotic mentality of light yagami , the thirst for challenge and opposition and victory , and the extremely and dangerously high ego and sense of self he possesses .

light is cowardly , oblivious and pathetic . hes, in his eyes, the average middle class smart teenage boy . he blocks out the world around him in a distasteful, egotistical fashion. he panics under any conflict or accusations thrown at him , and cannot stand losing or being humiliated . “light” represents the coward in light yagami , and is extremely important to his character . he considers himself more important than others , but cannot handle hardship and panics severely when pressured . despite his planning , navigation around debates and hiding his secrets , “light” really illustrates that , at the end of the day , light yagami is really just a coward who got lucky with brains and a supernatural notebook .

the thing about misogyny is that femininity is both devalued AND forced on women (and those misgendered as women). if you fail to meet the arbitrary standard of Womanly Charm you're ugly and unwanted and hate yourself and if you succeed you're shallow and brainless and weak. if you don't try to conform you're lazy and if you do you're vain. it is not possible to beat this system. feminism needs both "feminine doesn't mean weak or less-than" AND "women don't have to be feminine to have value", and if you are fighting for one of these the people fighting for the other are not your enemies, nor are they privileged over you.

what people don’t understand about how adhd is disabling is that it’s not just getting temporarily distracted from, like, school work or hobbies. it’s getting distracted/being unable to motivate yourself to go to the doctor, eat regularly, do hygiene tasks, etc. it’s not knowing when or how long it will take you to do something, ANYTHING, and in many cases that thing is taking a shower or keeping your house from turning into a biohazard. it’s about being fundamentally incapable of controlling your attention and focus on anything, even and especially things you need to do to survive.

Mikalight are absolutely NOT sentimental about dates like birthdays of anniversaries to be clear. It would be PURELY coincidence on the day of Mikami's birthday that Light would want them to go out and look for new fancy watches and pens that merely serves a purpose for enhancing Mikami's ability as God's Hand.

And after a long day of getting these things for Mikami it would only be LOGICAL that they need to replenish their blood sugar levels to continue filling their duties as Kira and what better way to do that with a Birthday Cake?

Since they still need to be undercover, Light is only relaying a secret message to Mikami about appreciating his efforts in the Kira cause in the form of a signed Birthday Card.

I imagine that Light tore out the page in Rem's death note that had L's name, maybe he even cut L's name out of the page specifically

He keeps it on him, probably in his wallet. He forgets about it most of the time, but once and awhile he'll accidentally pull it out and stare at it before continuing on with his day.

Light knowing L's true identity and keeping it close to him the same way L knew Light's true identity and kept him close. It's a mutual understanding between the two, even if L is gone.

Does that make sense?
