Our cats never attempt to escape or go outside. We yoinked them from out there. They know the struggle.

Out there they would be dodging cars and coyotes. In here they get free food and belly rubs. Fair trade for not being allowed to eat bees anymore.

wondering about the religious symbolism with L and Light in the towel scene in the anime on the Death Note writers discord and mentioning i don’t have a solid enough grasp on the bible for proper analysis, so i decide to read up on it.

i like that both light and misa’s initiations of physical violence are when their memories are gone (yotsuba light punches L twice; yotsuba misa pulls at L’s hair and then arc 2 misa tries to kick kiyomi) like this is annoyingly weakened by how light’s moments are taken seriously by the narrative while misa’s are played for comedic relief because of misogyny but regardless i like how it consistently reads like cornered animals lashing out behavior for both of them
