Loustat is compelling because they constantly push each other to the brink of insanity but they also have kind eyes and say romantic things to each other.

Devils Minion is compelling because they’re both awful people who are so Insane about each other in such an unhealthy way that it’s kind of beautiful.

It tickles me when people complain about TVL because I’m genuinely having a blast! 😭 I fear I am exactly the target audience, lmfao.

I read the books so I expected weird problematic shit (if anything, I appreciate that the show tones it down a bit and addresses it directly!) as well as the intense tonal shift. I’ve watched the first two seasons, so I also expected it to be vastly different from the book while keeping the essence of the story the same (just like they did with IWTV!).

I love Lestat’s ridiculous prose, I love the music!!!, I love that we get to see more storylines expand like Devil’s Minion, and I love that they found ways to keep Louis and Claudia in the show. I have small gripes here and there, mainly with the pacing but I can absolutely understand that it’s due to the limited amount of episodes.

Anyway. Just letting y’all know. Some of us are very happy with this season.

I am fucking LOVING the Vampire Lestat because they refused to play it safe. Season three could easily have been heated rivalry with vampires, focus on the ships, redeem lestat, everyone paired off neatly and they have sexy vampire adventures! Save the world like it's fucking emo Marvel! Tvl is like NO, total change of tone, more unreliable narrator nonsense, they're all worse than you thought, no one gets redeemed and also INCEST BITCHES! This show is so fucking good it better get all the seasons they need to keep doing what they're doing cos no one does it like them
