kris, bpd, and The Dragon
Kris is an example of a person with BPD and I have very inmediate evidence as someone who suspects having BPD (and is, somewhat informed, theythinks)
Point one: Their relationship with Susie, to the eye of someone without BPD or knowledge of the malady, Kris and Susie's relationship feels unnaturally fast moving, and it is, but this is actually something caused by BPD, Susie is very undeniably Kris's FP, like inherently, I think that's the natural conclusion of how Kris feels about her. And it makes sense, Susie is Kris's Hope, she is the Dragon, she represents all kris needs or wants to be, she's free, she doesn't like being told what to do, she CAN'T be told what to do, she doesn't get roped into bullshit, she doesn't keep quiet, Noelle likes her, to a socially isolated teen with BPD and lifecrushing trauma, this is like being given a mix of heroine crack and skooma in a needle. In Kris's head, this could very well be interpreted as a crush, and they probably don't feel good about it. This only makes chapter 5's ending even more painful, once you understand how much Kris must struggle with the idea of being abandoned or changed, it happened before to them, why not again?
Point two: It's logical to conclude Kris has horrible intrusive thoughts, is suicidal, and has a taste for self mutilation, Look at: ERAM, Blood in room, Weird Route+, a lot of the dialogue choices, obvious textual evidence of their treatment of their own life.
+This isn't me doing a "Why did Chara make us do that" But rather a situation where I theorize Kris's thoughts to be the dialogue choices in the game, informed by what they're thinking, intrusive or not, and weird route is a direct product of this (NOT THEIR FAULT!!!).
Point three: It is theorized that BPD is caused by feeling neglected or abandoned in youth by one's parents. Kris's BPD was definitely informed by them not being a monster too, and feeling excluded because of that, this also only got amplified by Asgore and Toriel's neglectfulness.
On ERAM: ERAM is, in my opinion, a manifestation, a grim reminder or a weaponized and antagonized version of Kris's BPDyan thoughts. Which if true implies that gaster is fucking evil. Eram's true form is either a Goat, or Asriel's. I like Ramiel for a couple of reasons, mainly because of DessKnight parallels, but also because ERAM represents, in some way, Kris's worst feelings and emotions. And I think one of those is Envy. I think where (Friend of mine who suggested Kris Moral OCD) is going with the Moral OCD thing is also related to ERAM but BPD is also a lot about feeling like a bad person, in my case the fear of abandonment I struggle with often manifests as thinking I'm a bad person and that, therefore, others will rightfully leave me, this reminds me of Eram.
Maybe Kris believes they're a bad person, maybe that's why they don't try to make their feelings known to Susie. Maybe they think she's too good for them.
Maybe they think Noelle and Susie, the people they love most, will be better off without them, not realizing that they are what they are missing.
I don't have diagnosed BPD, for all I know this could be very wrong, but hey, it's what I think, hope you enjoyed the read!

and like, salad isn’t even hard to make. grab some plants, dump em in a bowl. it doesn’t have to be fancy salad, they’ll fall all over themselves for the most mediocre salad in the world. we can make so much salad that we’re practically drowning in it, even if we eat some of the salad ourselves. and in exchange we’re protected from danger, we have great living conditions, it’s basically paradise compared to life on earth
