Paul Haesaert - Visit to Picasso (1949)
“In an effort to capture the nature of Picasso's creative process, Paul Haesaert asked the Spanish painter to apply his magical brushstrokes to large glass plates as Haesaert filmed from the other side.”
Looking at the stars always makes me dream. Why, I ask myself, shouldn’t the shining dots of the sky be as accessible as the black dots on the map of France? Just as we take the train to get to Tarascon or Rouen, we take death to reach a star.

{/ Tag Info Post \}
- the following are some tags I'm going to be using for this blog. #out of coverup - used in conjunction with the ubiquitous #ooc tag, in case you don't care to see my ooc posts specifically; #ic blogging - any posts made from Kieren's POV, with his commentary as necessary. Anyone is welcome to respond IC; #not safe for jem - my own version of the NSFetc tag, to hopefully keep any porn blogs from following. Nudity, smut, etc; #q and a - responses to asks, memes, etc; #brushstrokes - the meme tag; #fandom post - meta posts about ITF; art, photosets, edits, etc. - in terms of #ic blogging, Kieren's also got a few tags he's going to be using:
#moregeous - anything Kieren wants Amy to see, or which reminds him of Amy; Amy blogs are more than welcome to respond IC;
#lil sis - about/for Jem; Jem blogs more than welcome to respond IC; #the abnormal - posts for or about Simon, and yes, Simon blogs are more than welcome to respond IC; #thoughts in the night - Kieren's musings; not necessarily anything he'd admit to if asked about it. Personal, private thoughts; #art blogging - anything related to art, artists or specific pieces Kieren likes or admires or finds inspiring; #beyond the grave - Kieren's queue tag That's it for now, but I'm sure I'll be adding to the list as time goes on!

dearestdisciple answered your question:I couldn’t quite decide what I wanted my icon on…
I can’t say much for art blogs, but you really should be following the Undead Prophet, as well as any blogs associated with the ULA.
Yeah, I’d rather not, thanks. My blog’s a safe space, you know? I’d like to try to avoid any potentially volatile subject matter if I can.
Potentially volatile subject matter? You do realise that this concerns you just as much as any of the Redeemed - action or no action, you are still an important part of this movement. Would you not rather act than let things just happen to you? “Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking,” Kieren.
Look, I get it, it's very important, but the fact is I just don't care. I'm happy enough keeping my head down and getting through each day. I get enough of this crap offline, I'd rather not get all caught up in social justice when all I really want to do is talk about art--you know, the things that matter, the things that are important to me. I'm not suddenly going to become an activist just because I'm a zombie, or a Redeemed or...whatever.

…Yes, Amy, thank you. I died in 2009, not 1999. It’s just that there are so many of the things on this website—like, seriously, how many Monet blogs does Tumblr really need?
Ta for the recommend though. Not really my thing, but that’s not your fault.
doesnt mean you cant be a big slow of the uptake though
really, you can be a bit grandpa about things, and thats coming from me!
to each their own and that, youll stumble on the right right blogs quick enough
Not to prove you right, but do you have any idea how to stop Tumblr from giving me all these “helpful hints”? Getting instructions on how and why to “like” posts every time I refresh my dash is a bit annoying.
hahaha i actually dont remember i just ignored them and they went away after a while
shame thats not how people work
Can you imagine how great that'd be? There'd be no one left in Roarton, though. If you could have any superpower, Amy Dyer, what would it be?
I couldn’t quite decide what I wanted my icon on this site to be. I thought about going with one of my favourite paintings, but those are all so overdone—so I went with this one instead, Blaues Reh by Mark Wickham. Does anyone have any good art blog recommendations for who I should follow?
dunno about classic stuff, your van gogh and all that
but lohrien posts some utter GORG stuff
mind you, there’s a little search bar in the top corner thatll lead you to ALL sorts of pretties, dumdum
