『♡』 Blissfully unaware to it all, Iris could only lay there asleep. Her cheeks had flushed feverishly red..her body too weak to function at the moment. Her hands and legs had gone numb, and she couldn’t grip anything.

If he was going to kill her, now would be the only good time to do so. The idol laying there peacefully comatose. It would be swift.. and she wouldn’t feel a thing.

Slowly and quietly, Leon approached Iris’ side. His hand coming up and snapping his fingers to make his scythe appear to properly hold it in his grasp. “Forgive me, Iris... But it had to be done. I’ll see you in the afterlife..” Was all he said for his last words to his girlfriend.

Closing his eyes tightly, the zombie swung his scythe as it cut into the idol’s torso, the smaller blade being used to prevent the larger blade from getting stuck in the ribcage. Her heart was attached to the end of the blade; so red, so pure... but unfortunately, it still had to be done.

A hand came up to grasp his girlfriend’s heart in his hand, and without any hesitation - crushing it in his palm to let his hand absorb her soul to hold onto for the time being.

“I love you... this was for not only my safety, but to not let you suffer anymore.”

The pinkette exhaustively whined out as the boy she had come to love lifted her up into his arms, laying her down on the couch. All she could do was curl up in a ball and close her eyes to rest. With the end of the year swiftly approaching, Iris’s window for treatment was swiftly dwindling. 

Unfortunately, as sad as his thoughts were.. it was true. Her body was rapidly deteriorating and as long as the cancerous tumor remained in her brain, it was going to eat away at her until she dies. Her only hope of survival so far away in just how much money it would cost to save her life.

At this point, there truly was no hope for her.

The words from his boss echoed in his head, his head hanging low as Leon recalls what had been said to him, ‘If you don’t collect Iris Sagan’s soul before her time runs out, you will be punished! Do I make myself clear, boy?!’ His bottom lip quivered, his hands balling up into fists. There was no hope in saving her; with her treatment being expensive, unfortunately there was only one thing left to do...

And that was to kill her, take her soul and submit everything he knew about her to the records.

As he slowly rose from the floor, Leon barely said a word when he walked out from the kitchen. Keeping his distance and his head low as to avoid eye contact.

Nova tilted her head curiously as to wonder what caused the sudden change in her master’s mood. “Don’t worry about me, Nova... But you might want to move out of the way. It’s time for me to get this done and over with.”

『♡』 The moment she slumped against him, Iris was quick to latch onto his arm. The room was spinning and she couldn’t feel or move her legs at that point. 

“..Y..Yeah I will innn..a mom..ent.. I dropped a glass in the kitchennn.. can you help..?”

“I’ll handle the glass, you need to sit down and relax.” the angel replied, standing up to lift Iris up into his arms. Before he went to go and clean up the mess of glass; Leon walked over to the couch and gently lied her down on it, snapping his fingers to get Nova’s attention.

The cat obeyed to her master’s command, making her way over to the pink-haired girl to jump up onto the couch. Nova meowed in Leon’s direction before watching him walk into the kitchen.

His hands were busy with sweeping up every single shard of glass that lied on the floor, of course it was one that can easily be replaced. As he was cleaning, Leon did his best not to let his worries get to him; no matter how worried he was about her, he had to keep telling himself that there’s no way to save her...

Shaking his head, he properly disposed of the broken glass. Shoving one shard from it into his pocket for later.

Leon hadn’t noticed Iris’ presence appear in the room, as his eyes were focused on his bandaged wrist. Fingers idly rubbing at the wounds underneath due to how hard it was to ignore the sensation. Until he felt a sudden weight against him, the angel’s eyes glance over to Iris.

“Are you alright..? You should lay down and rest if you’re unwell.”

;;~Sitting under the star light sky, Chiyo gazed up at the sky as she felt herself sighing softly and leaning against the railing. She began reminiscing on memories of when she was a child and her mother.  

Closing her eyes tears began to drip down her face as she gazed up at the staring, having a moment to be alone and true to how she felt.

“Hey now, my love... what’s with the tears?” A familiar voice chimed in from above, a pair of familiar bi-colored eyes gazing down at her. Leon was up in the air right above her, his wings spread out to their full wingspan. With a move of his shoulders, his wings flapped while a couple of feathers fell loose, slowly floating down to the ground.

By the time he was on his feet; his wings disappeared, giving him the moment to regain his balance and kneel down in front of her. A hand coming up to gently hold her chin between his thumb and index finger.

“No more tears, my nightingale. I’m here now.” Leon reassured with a smile, his other hand coming up to tuck a lock of hair behind her ear.
