Must Be Fate
Jake smiled as he admired her beauty. “I have to get going.” He told her. His thirst was too much right now, he could honestly barely speak to her. Then he left her, and he didn’t think anything of it, he was probably never going to be seeing her again. He was on the run anyways. Finally, realizing that he couldn’t be picky, he walked up to a girl that was all by herself, and whispered to her. “Don’t scream.”
Elena followed after the boy, curious as to why he was so... Different. She follows after him before seeing him close behind a woman, listening carefully to what he was saying to her. Her eyebrows rose before she ran up behind him and grabbed his arm.
"Seriously? Could you be any obvious?!"
Must Be Fate
Jake felt the urge consume him, he was at the point where he needed to drink some blood. Luckily, he was old enough now that he didn’t have to kill in the process of keeping himself alive. He walked down the street and searched for someone to drink out of. As he walked past the local bar in town, he turned a corner, and ran into someone. It was a beautiful girl, probably his age, or what the world believes that he is. They hit each other really hard, but neither of them were fazed. He listened for her heart beat, but didn’t hear anything at all. He looked into her eyes, and immediately knew. She is Vampire, too. “Oh, I’m sorry. I wasn’t paying attention.”
Elena's feet hit against the cement; her cravings had become worse. Usually, animal blood would get her through, but lately, the need for human blood sent her mind pounding. She kept telling herself she shouldn't, but this wasn't working. She walked down the street towards the hospital, hoping to get some blood bags, before someone bumped into her, her head turning to face him.
"I-It's fine... Sorry."
"And you decided to come to me because…? As of late I haven’t been doing a good job with my cravings either."
"I just thought... I hoped you'd be able to help me..."
Law. Law Argall.
He gave a small wave in greeting and finally let his trademark smile creep onto his face. Whaddya know, this might not be such a bad day after all.
Shall we?
Law winked and offered his elbow, placing one foot dramatically out in front of himself like the Scarecrow of Oz. What the hell are you doing, Lawrence. What are you doing. This is dumb.
Elena chuckled before taking his arm and walking with him towards the cafe. She needed this. She had been having such a terrible week, and maybe getting bumped into by a stranger was a good thing.
"So, Law Argall, what do you do?"
"Isn’t that what Damon is for? What do you need?"
"If I needed Damon, I would have asked him. I just... Stefan... I-I don't know what I am doing any more... I don't think I can stop my need for human blood any more. I'm scared... What if I hurt someone?"
“I know it’s none of my business, but if you’re gonna be covered in snow and a victim of my bullheadedness, you’re gonna have to put up a better argument than that. Can I get you coffee or something? I was just on my way to do some studying at this place a few blocks from here.”
He gestures to his computer bag and scratches the back of his neck nervously. Ah, shit. Now you’ve done it. You made a fool of yourself in public again. Great work, genius.
"Uh... Sure. A coffee sounds great. Elena." Elena smiled before taking a step closer to him, looking over at the cafe nearby where he gestured to. He kept the smile on her face before looking back towards the male. "And you are?"
"What actually is it that I’m suppose to be listening too?"
"I just... I don't what I'm doing any more, Stefan. I need your help... I need you."
He cursed himself for being so clumsy.
Ah, shit. Here.
He offered his hand to the woman in order to help her off of the ground.
Sorry, got a lot on my plate right now, and I haven’t been the most attentive human being. Let me help ya up.
Elena took his hand to help herself up, her eyes looking his frame up and down. As she got to her feet, she brushed the snow from her jeans and jacket. She half smiled at him before pushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Really, I'm fine."
He hated the cold, but snow was his favorite, and New York had plenty to spare. Lawrence zipped up his jacket and began the long trek from his apartment to the shop. If only he didn’t need to study, he wouldn’t have to leave his apartment, but noooo, he just had to do his best thinking in coffee shops surrounded by people and noise. Damn it. He huffed out a cloud of steam into the evening air. Lost in his thoughts, he didn’t see who he’d bumped into.
Woah! Damn, I’m so sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going! Are you okay?
Elena was walking against the cold, misty air, her face almost buried in the scarf that was positioned on her neck. As she looked down at the snow, she felt a force strike her and knock her back into reality. With the slippery surface underneath her, she was surprised she didn't fall down and embarrass herself. She half laughed before looking up at the rambling man.
"No... I'm fine. Just a little bump. Truly, it's fine - I'm fine."
Peter was having the worst night of his life. He found out that his girlfriend was cheating on him. He heard the warnings from his best friend who was now mad at him for not believing her and felt stupid. The night was cold and there was no one around. The brunet walked to the lake and settled himself on a big rock. This place was his safe haven and he was glad that he hadn’t shown her it yet. The only other person that knew about this not so secret spot was his best friend. She knew this was where he’d disappear to on crappy days and certain days.
Peter grabbed a small pebble and threw it into the water. He heard footsteps coming his way and shook his head. “Alright, you can say it,” he said. “You can say I told you so.”
Elena had followed the boy into the only place he could escape, her eyes looking almost as sad as his that night. She placed her hands in the back pockets of his jeans before walking close behind him, kicking the small rocks in front of her. "That's... That's not what I was going to say. It's not your fault, Peter." Elena said, her voice small and quiet as she looked up at him, her eyes showing sympathy for him. "Are you... Okay?"
"Whatever it is you’re trying to tell me; I don’t care."
"Stefan please, just listen to me."
Your muse walks in on my muse undressing and catches the various scars along their body. What is your muses reaction? What do they do?
Elena smirked as she was approached from behind by a woman, her eyes rolling before she spun on her heels. Her eyebrows raised before she took a step forward. "Can I help you?"
