ย ย ย while wade had a place of his own not too far from the styx he spent essentially every waking moment there if not out for some sort of business. the job was his life, the extended responsibilities accompanied with his title had taken over shortly after assuming his position. as all encompassing as it was, wade found that he slipped into it easily. he had little need for really any social life and was used to working closely with desmond, the person he trusted most. the styx had quickly become his home regardless of the fact there was no bed in his office. it was the end of day ( that didnโt mean it was the end of the work day ) and wade made his way up to desmondโs office before making himself comfortable in one of the chairs.ย โ you staying here late tonight or off soon to feed those lovely mutts of yours ? โ he inquired with a small smile tugging at his lips.ย
โthis is the best song!โ sheโs a bit tipsy, a bit goofy, and a bit cold in the chilled night air because she chose to wear a swim suit and had no cover up. but lux is a chaotic force of nature, and she buries all that with another drink in her hand.ย โcome dance with me? i canโt be the only one out here who is letting loose.โ plenty of people were looking, but lux didnโt care. maybe she lived for attention, maybe she did things for it, or maybe she really just didnโt care what people thought. the world may never know.
ย ย ย โ ugh, fine, โ they sighed in mock disinterest. while eerie themself was not intoxicated in the slightest, certainly not on luxโs level, they were always happy to move around the dance floor at some capacity, their hands always finding themselves in the pockets of whoever danced by them. eerieโs hand found luxโs as the pair of them took their spot on the dance floor.ย โ in the mood for a new bracelet or something ? โ they questioned offering lux a small smirk.ย โ if you see one you like, just lemme know and itโll be yours in a jif. โ
โThat is quite the feat, you should be proud.โ He nods, though heโs still looking within his bike. Fester didnโt want to say that that was probably luck they didnโt make things worse with their sink, but he lets them have their victories. Thereโs a time and place and this isnโt it.ย โI like this hunk of junk.โ
He finally looks up when they bring up stealing, and he squints with the sun in his eyes.ย โI have more money than I know what to do with. Getting a new one would not be an issue. Iโm just rather attached to this thing here.โ Though the issues are becoming more and more frequent, it might actually be time to part ways.
ย ย ย โ i guess i can see the type of attachment one would have to their bike. even if it was just a hunk of junk, โ eerie answered while pulling their hair into a pony tail so it was off of their face. they got a bit of a closer look at the bike itself and what fester was working on within it. it was easier for eerie to simply replace things whenever they saw fit. things, to them, were always replaceable, especially when with the right play eerie could essentially steal anything.ย
ย ย ย โ yeah, but sometimes getting shit for free is exciting, โ eerie countered tilting their head slightly,ย โ plus iโve never stolen a bike like this before. โ eerie looked skeptically at the machine, sure at this point that it was not even worth all the money and effort it would take to truly fix.ย ย ย โ do you need a hand then ? my afternoon is free. โ
โI was a little surprised, not going to lie. But, weโve managed to get over the whole terrible twoโs stage so I think anything is possible with her,โ she admitted. Serenity, like any other child, had her not so great moments while she was getting older and the entire second year was hard.ย โYeah, grocery store shopping is always interesting because half of the time she wants to touch everything and goย โmommy, I want thisโ. It can be so hard to say no to her but in this case, a few gum balls wonโt hurt.โ
ย ย ย even the thought of having a child relying on him for their existence was something that made him uncomfortable. his whole life he barely was able to rely on himself for his existence. for this he had an immense respect for the parents who undoubtably loved and cared for their own children. something he unfortunately had never experienced himself.ย โ guess it was probably easier when she was small enough to have to stay in the carriage, less things to grab at from that angle, โ he chuckled softly.ย โ i think a gum ball is fair enough. plus it lasts longer than regular candy, right ? โ
nadezhda hated going to chain coffee shops โ- the coffee wasnโt that great and the food tasted like plastic bathed in sweetener and food coloring โ- but she couldnโt lie and say that it wasnโt the best place for some people watching. and so, thatโs what she did; she observed, took note just so she could become better (and not for anyoneโs gain but her own) and enjoyed the time she had for herself. alas, someone thought it would be a good idea to ruin that for her and throw some bad pick-up lines her way. without moving her eyes from her coffee cup, nadezhda began speaking, โif you donโt shut up and walk away,โ her voice was firm and slow, loud enough for the person and those around her to hear, โi will bite your ear off and feed it to you.โ nadezhda looked up. โgot it?โ
ย ย ย wade would much rather brew a pot of coffee at his place ( of course he owned a pot and not some ridiculously over priced instant coffee machine ), but there were certain days where extra shots of espresso were required for him to remain calm and collected. the place he decided to stop at was the chain close enough to his office, not wanting to venture too far. the taste of coffee had never been his worry, it was the quality of the caffeine. wade was about to make his return to the office when he noticed a familiar face sitting amongst the tables. making his way over he witnessed the threat sheโd thrown in the direction of a stranger.ย โ if i were you iโd listen to the lady, โ he offered before pulling a chair at the table out.ย โ she looks kind of vicious, โ with a shrug of his shoulders wade plopped down into the seat as the other walked off. his attention shifted back over to nadezhda.ย โ not in a flirty mood today ? โ
itโs the kind of place that feels straight out of a fifties gangster movie, smoke wafts across the room from a manโs imported cuban cigar and glasses clink musically over the smooth sounds of the singer in the lounge. swathed in red silk amphai sits alone nursing a neat glass of whiskey and watching the singer with rapt attention. sheโs an old friend and lover whose voice still enchants her to this day, though they long ago stopped having time for one another she still likes to make her way out to see the womanโs shows if only to hear her sonorous voice for a little bit.ย โwhat do you think?โ she says leaning towards the small, round table adjacent to her.ย โsheโs amazing right? i saw her sing bing crosby at the sky lounge once and it was life-changing.โ
ย ย ย wade hardly ever was somewhere he was not needed for business. usually heโd arrive promptly ten minutes before whatever meeting time was set and was the first person to leave the table. tonight heโd been captivated by the vocals of the woman on stage. lingering behind as business wrapped up, foregoing his walk home and instead now sat with a sips left of scotch coating the bottom of his glass.ย โ hm ? โ the first words from the other barely penetrating his focus before he directed it over to itโs owner.ย โ ah yes. i mean, i am not usually one to admire in such a manner, but her talent certainly garners that sort of attention. โ he offered the woman a nod before downing the rest of the liquor in his glass.ย โ you ever met her before ? โ
โThank you,โ she replied with a nod of her head, taking the quarters from the older man. She took a mental note that next time she was taking little Ren to the store, to bring some spare change in case of emergencies like this. Most moms would have yelled at their kid and simply told them no. Well, she didnโt want to be like one of those parents. There was no harm in letting her daughter have a few gumballs, considering eating them would probably be the highlight of her day.ย โActually, she was pretty well behaved so I think this is a fair reward for not having any meltdowns.โ
ย ย ย wade, having no intention of having children himself was sure that taking a toddler anywhere could very easily become a nightmare. heโd witnessed countless grocery store, convenience store, and even just street side meltdowns. he was sure that his patience was so limited he would never be able to truthfully handle it all.ย โ no melt downs at all ? sounds very fair to me. i think even with one iโd probably cave. this place is overwhelming to me so i canโt imagine how it would be for the little ones. โ his father would have never even taken a second look at the gum ball machine had wade asked.ย
Jason darted over to his car, tightening his jaw at the strangerโs question. There was something equal parts frustrating and sobering about it. Obviously, his Camaro was a thing of beauty, vintage and meant to be shown off and swooned over, but that didnโt mean someone could lean on his precious baby. The disrespect! And it sure as hell didnโt mean Jason could let his guard down. Not in times like these where war between the syndicates was looming on the horizon, and no one could be trusted. He raised a brow, glaring at the spot where the stranger was leaning. โHarmlessly admiring my ass.โ Jason grumbled, always primed for the counter attack. โYou look with your eyes, not your hands.โ
ย ย ย the tiniest hint of a smirk tugged at their lips watching the other react, theyโd expected the hostility.ย โ relax man, โ eerie replied as they stood up straighter while he walked in their direction. they lifted up their arms in mock defensiveness.ย โ it wasnโt like i was going to dent it or steal it or anything, โ stealing it did cross eerieโs mind if they were honest. to be fair, anything that caught their eye was at risk of being taken. not this though, while eerie was sure they could a pretty penny for it, they werenโt in the mood for all that work.ย โ though i did see a little nick over there above the passenger tire, wasnโt me though, scouts honor, โ one hand moved to touch their heart while the other stayed up.ย โ might wanna make sure to double check for curbs and shit next time. โ
His eyes shift when he senses them drop by, but itโs a familiar voice, and a friendly one at that, so he doesnโt mind them sitting by, and poking fun at him and his broken down scooter.
โI have a masters in this sort of thing you know.โ As if to justify the struggle. But thatโs just the the type of prideful grumble an old man would give. Of course he couldnโt accept help. Not when heโs got the fancy piece of paper to help him.ย โIโm a builder, thereโs nothing saying I canโt be a fixer.โ Excellent words, Fester. Really selling your abilities to the young one.
ย ย ย โ masters, shmasters, โ they teased with a chuckle.ย โ i barely got my high school diploma and one time i fixed a leaky sink in my apartment all by myself. i didnโt even have a wrench, so iโd say i deserve a masters of my own. โ it felt nice to be around someone they were familiar with, someone that eerie didnโt need to put on some sort of show for.ย โ but really fester, that looks like a hunk of junk at this point, โ they got to their feet and moving to get a good look at the bike.ย
ย ย ย โ want me to steal you a brand new one ? i could do it quick, you could have it by the end of the day and everything. โ eerie never really bothered themself with trying to fix things, not when they could so easily nick something brand new whenever they needed it.ย โ would save you a bunch of energy, โ they tilted their head and lifted a brow.
they look up from dabbing at the front of their top, eyes fixating on the ring and lighting up immediately. amisa was hardly a complicated person when it came down to it: they saw something shiny and expensive, they needed to have it. it was as simple as that.ย โhave i told you lately how youโre one of my favourite people in existence?โ she flashes a smile then, reaching out to take the ring and sliding it onto her finger. she holds up her hand like someone whoโs just been proposed to, admiring the glint of green.ย โperfect fit, like it was made for me.โ it really is that easy to lighten her mood up again, and she decides to ignore the fact that her front is now going to be damp for god knows how long.ย โwhat else have you managed to steal tonight?โ despite her words, her eyes are already scanning the crowded floor of olympus, looking for some easy targets for the pair of them to have some fun with.
ย ย ย eerieโs featureโs mimics amisaโs grin, thankful that they were able to at least brighten up the otherโs night even if for a moment. they were just like eerie in this manner, something sparkling and expensive was enough to lift even the sourest of moods.ย โ i havenโt heard it recently so if you wanna say it again for good measure, iโll welcome it, โ they teased nudging amisaโs shoulder playfully. eerie lifted their glass to take a swig of the harsh liquor, nose scrunching at the burn.ย โ um, like almost a grand in cash, a pretty sick watch, some cuff links, and a sapphire bracelet. i love it here, men with marianaโs trench deep pockets and wandering eyes. โ eerie placed their glass on the bar and shifted to lean against it as their eyes followed her gaze. eerie loved working with a partner it was always more enjoyable.ย โ see anything good ? โ
โHey, I might have a bit of an odd request,โ Stella chuckles out awkwardly as she stops the first person she sees while grocery shopping. Taking her four year old daughter anywhere proved to be a challenge, especially when she was by herself. They were just about to leave the store when they passed the gum ball machine right by the front doors. Serenity had whined to her, wanting a few of them. After rummaging through her purse, she realized she had no spare change. To be fair, Ren had been good during their trip, so maybe she did deserve a little treat. โDo you happen to have any spare change on you? Preferably two quarters?โ she asked.
ย ย ย wade habitually had essentially nothing in his fridge or pantry. making his way to the grocery store felt so mundane and a waste of time when he could easily pick something up to go, maybe it also had to do with the fact that he could not cook to save his life. bread, deli meat and cheese, and condiments were the only staples at his place. having found a bit of mold on pretty much everything, wade begrudgingly made his way to the store. with one paper bag under his arm he paused when he heard the voice.ย โ oh, um, โ his free hand fished inside his jacket pocket and retrieved some coins.ย โ the register was out of ones or something, so hereโs four. โ an ever so small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. most of wadeโs grace and kindness was extended to children, too innocent to have done anything worth his anger or frustration.ย โ i remember i was a menace in a grocery store, they keep their cool ? โ he inquired.
HE MEANS IT WHENย he says that his door is always open. itโs a security hazard, really, considering how often heโs outย of the office. but the fact is that he appears to be one of the most accessible men in the syndicate. despite the unsaid ( but still pervasive, he notes with distaste ) accusations surrounding his rise in status, he has never been one to shoot down anyoneโs ideas to due to inexperience or rank. and he doesnโt mind offering an ear to people who need it ; he quite likes acquiring gossip that way, actually โ- though he does his best to appear concerned and sympathetic, like he is now.
โย thatโs very interesting,ย โ levi hums, brows lifting in punctuation. his tone is monotonous, detached even, but not sarcastic.ย โ ย have you ever considered therapy ?ย โ
ย ย ย โ what tipped you off, was it the lack of laugh lines or the murderous career ? โ he grumbled huffing out an exasperated sigh. there were times in which he feels something resembling regret having taken the position of underboss, the manโs patience with the living had always been limited. one of his many character flaws. wade had been working on it of course, this was where he wanted to be. so here he sat, across from levi in attempts to facilitate whatever sort of relationship he should have with the a capo. another day, another struggle.ย ย โ iโm quite fine with refraining from pleasantries and mindless small talk, just say the word. โ wade leaned back in his seat with arms crossed tightly pressed against his chest.ย
โฑ โฑ sebastian stan + cis man + he/him โ ย if you happen to find yourself stuck in tartarus, make sure you donโt run into wade ditka there. the thirty-eight year old has made quite the reputation for themselves under their alias as thanatos, an underboss for the souls. while their enemies often describe them as obstinate and ruthless, their syndicate would say that theyโre scrupulous and quick-witted. they do think that zane was murdered, but theyโll be keeping that to themselves for now. ( the feeling of cold metal against warm skin, the burning in your throat after a shot of tequila, unreadable expressions, and impeccable posture with arms crossed )

ย ย ย wadeโs father joined the titans at a young age, by the time wade was born he was working as an assassin. heโd met wadeโs mother as she was passing through town, though she ended up staying as she fell pregnant. unfortunately mr. ditka had lied to his mother and said he was a drug manufacturer and when she caught whiff that her man was a murderer she split, leaving a two year old wade alone with a father who had no clue what he was doing with a child.
ย ย ย one could say he tried his best to be a father, but wade would have to disagree. ever since he could remember wade knew he would be shuffled into the titans some way or another. his father trained him to work his way up to an assassin as soon as he could hold a weapon. wade learned the ins and outs quickly and found the training as a way to express the bottled up anger he felt for his father and for the fact that his mother left. right after he turned eighteen years old he was joining the titans as a soldier. part of him fostered a resentment of his father for the life that he was currently living.ย
ย ย ย wadeโs intentions quickly shifted to besting his father, becoming more skilled and more talented than heโd ever be. he wanted to boot his own father from his position. as wadeโs father aged it became easier and easier. especially when the three brothers took over. when his father retired, wade sat back and realized he hated the syndicate. it had become synonymous with the man he resented. as the brothers parted ways wade didnโt even think twice about leaving with desmond, his loyalties lying there.ย now as the underboss of the souls wade really has bested his father, now occupying a position that he never could snag.ย
ย ย ย wade isnโt exactly an overtly friendly man, his general expression is one of disinterest or annoyance. he doesnโt start any issues if not necessary though of course, but he can finish them if needed. usually he attempts to keep people at a distance from himself thinking its easier that way, yโknow mommy leaving issues and all. but truthfully if youโre a soul he has a vested interest in you and, in his own weird way, cares for you.
LIKE A SMALL CHILD WHO FELT VIOLENT STABS OF MORBID CURIOSITY FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME, fay titan found herself lingering on words such as โdeathโ and โunhappinessโ for a moment too long. it took claim of her attention with each page that she turned, and as cruel as a seraphโs mind could ever come to be, all she could envision was the pale face of a stern uncle silent in his casket. in her imagination, zane titan was like a portrait hung onto the ancient walls of a museum, worshipped eternally by hollow eyes, eternally still in all of his glory. โoh boy,โ she mumbled sullenly while folding one leg over the other, her pearly teeth clamping down on the straw that seemingly slurped nothing out of the bottom of her root beer float. โhappiness is an allegory and unhappiness a story..โ she quoted as she turned to face the stranger, her eyes as deep and blue as the ocean and just as unpredictable. โwould you agree or disagree? .. hm, what is the unexpected twist of your day? is it this conversation? is it weird that iโm asking? ahh.. the weather sure is weird today, isnโt it?โย
ย ย ย if they werenโt working a con or milling about with some other stallion, one could find eerie people watching. their mother had instilled the importance of observation in picking a target, usually the most valuable items on a person is clearly visible. sitting with their back pressed against the bench eerieโs gaze watched the businessmen across the way in what seemed to be a meeting in which egos were beginning to peek through and things were looking to sour. they had half a mind to sneak across the road, grab an apron, shuffle away the empty liquor glasses, and a wallet or two with them. that was until eerieโs focus was pulled to the voice next to them. with a furrowed brow they spoke,ย โ come again ? โย theย words were not what theyโd expect to hear.ย โ uh, sometimes i feel like authors just say shit and hope some sucker can manipulate it into meaning something. โย

Fester didnโt really believe in owning a car. there wasnโt much use, considering he never really went very far. Someone once said Fester would be the type of man who would guy a motorcycle in his ย mid-life crisis. In fact, when he got divorced, he bought a black Vespa. They were far more cost effective, and not as much of a death trap.
Unfortunately, the Vespa was having issues. It wasโฆ over ten years old at this point. Which left him on the side of the road, picking apart the pieces to figure out what on earth went wrong. Which he came to find himself not alone after a while.
โAh, come to help out a struggling old man, I see. Trust me, I am not so hopeless.โ He wags a small screwdriver in the direction of the other. Because of course, he carried a mini toolbox in the seat of the scooter.
ย ย ย eerie had never been the type of person to do well simply just sitting and doing nothing. they always needed to be doing something whether it was work a con, be around folks, do some kind of activity, or even just walking around - anything. and thatโs how they spotted a familiar face. theyโd just picked up some food and was taking the scenic route back to their place when they noticed him. ever so quietly they plopped down on the curb next to fester as he worked on the motorbike. as the other noticed their presence eerie sat up and leaned forward resting their arms on their knees.
ย ย ย โ i figured a helping hand or a fresh pair of eyes couldnโt hurt, right ? โ they offered the man a smile.ย โ just say the word and you can tag me in. i can look and see if i can help at all. or not, if youโre really not as hopeless as you insist, โ they teased.ย
this night had gone from bad to worse. normally, they loved spending time at olympus. there was nothing they enjoyed more than having a few drinks, placing a little nectar on her tongue, and dancing the night away. unfortunately, the woman she was supposed to meet here stood her up, the dealer from the stallions sheโd asked to meet still hadnโt showed up, and to top it all off, a completely sloshed couple had tripped a little to close to them and had spilled their drinks all over amisa.ย โfucking perfect.โ their head shakes, aggresively grabbing napkins from the bar to try and mop up the front of their clothes.ย โthis is the worst night of my life.โ
ย ย ย eerieโs sticky fingers had certainly been passed to them by their mother, any sort of crowded space had the brunette feeling like a kid in a candy store. usually they stayed sober, always hyper vigilant, but blending in with the crowd was essential,ย so currently they had a half empty glass in one hand. leaving one free hand to pick pocket anything glittery that caught their eye. from across the room they spotted amisa become the victim to a drink spill and eerie slipped through the crowd over to them.ย โ would this make you feel better at all ? โ they opened up their hand to reveal an emerald ring sitting in their palm offering a smile as well,ย โ nicked it from someone completely blacked out like ten minutes ago. iโm willing to part with it i guess. โ mostly because burning a hole in their pocket was a watch theyโd picked up tonight as well.
Jason was on his way home, hood drawn, knuckles still raw with the dried blood of his opponent.ย It had started out as nothing more than a bad habit, an attempt to fill a gaping hole left behind from Jasonโs shattered professional career. But one match in the underground rings of Tartarus was all it took, enough to get him out of his head and taste the familiar surge of adrenaline of the ring. Fight number two fanned the flames, and by the thirdโ well, the third had drawn in the crowd, solidifying his place among the Souls. And now, countless matchups later with the syndicates divided and on the brink of war, his latest bouts were giving him exactly what he was desperate for: cash.
He was just about to call it a night, pocket his winnings, and rip through the six-pack of Keystones he had waiting for him in his fridge when his brow shot up,ย โYo, watch it,โย He called out, closing in on hisย โ96 Camaro and the person hovering dangerously close his babyโs new paint job. โJust had her detailed.โ
ย ย ย whenever eerie found themselves with nothing to do they simply just wondered around until they found something or someone to entertain themselves. they never really worried about issues of territories of the syndicates with a knack for getting themselves out of a tight spot easily. loitering was always a good start, right ? scoping out the area to see what they could get up to. noticing what seemed to be a freshly painted car amongst a few rather dull looking ones piqued their interest. theyโd watched as a car pulled up beside it and its owner lugging a large duffle bag into the gym, eerie was sure they had a ample time before the owner would return. they leaned against the beat up shitbox car admiring the camaro. a voice shouting out at them pulled their attention.ย โ what ? i canโt harmlessly admire ? why else have a car like this if not to show off ? โ
