At some point it was contained but it escaped

It became a sentient being

Experiencing consciousness for the first time it wandered more

Coming across many beings. Some strange. Others murderous. Then there were some not so much of either.

The entity liked these beings. They were very amusing to them. They decided to watch over them so as to not be bored in a vast world.
