I really hate what the "Entiteled brides/kids/parents/strangers/etc" stories have done to like... people's willingness not be entiteled?
I am one of those people who get really carsick, like, if I sit in the back, we're gonna have to stop so I can throw up every ten minutes at shortening intervals. Naturally enough, this means I exclusively travel in either the passenger or driver's seat where I am just nauseous (this goes for public transport too, so awkward in taxies).
Unfortunately, in most cases, people like to sit in the front. (And I get it, you see more, can talk to the driver, and there is more room.) Therefore, once they have traveled with me like 3 times, they get The Revelation, "why does she think she is entiteled to sit in the front? We all want to sit there".
From there out, I either have to fight them every time we try to go anywhere, or I have to "prove" it (by making myself throw up and feel horrible for hours. (I don't do that anymore)).
And people think it is totally justified, because I am acting "entitled".
And the worst part is probably when they finally have enough of fighting and decide to do what they want, and then get surprised when I don't go with them.
Who is really entitled here? Me not wanting to throw up, or them wanting to sit in the front?
I understand that it sucks, but 1. it's so much worse for me, and 2. literally just go without me if you don't want me and all that comes with it.
I am not an entiteled asshole that wants it my way??? What have you put in your head that makes you unable to see that???
