Duncan the Tall Girldad Headcanons

Girldad!Dunk because all I can imagine is this man, with a teeny tiny little girl sitting on his knee, teaching her to sew and mend or making flower crowns.

Girldad!Dunk because I want to see him with this baby that looks absolutely tiny and fragile in his arms (because she is), but anyone else holds her and you realize just how chunky she is.

Some thoughts I have are

Lyonel x Reader who is Egg’s cousin aka Baelor’s daughter who either got married off to Lyonel or ran away and met him, ending up getting married bla bla. And then we have Aeron who’s angry either way bc he was supposed to marry her. I need reader in the scene with the puppet girl and Dunk going at him after he called Reader a Baratheon whore when she tries to make him stop the ordeal. And then we have Egg convincing Dunk to go with Lyonel and Reader instead of wandering the realms bc Dunk is low-key their beloved pet at that point

Duncan x Reader who dreams of also becoming a knight despite being a Targaryen princess and her father forbidding her but she chooses to take Dunk’s side in the trial of seven (and not dying) She then decides to travel with Dunk and Egg afterwards

Duncan x Reader who is Lyonel’s wife and he comes with them and becomes her personal guard bc Lyonel sees how infatuated she is with the giant man

Anything with Reader who is an estranged Targaryen no one knows about and maybe she has a dragon egg (Low-key Daenerys vibes tbh)

He’s the one person who will never judge you or how your brain works

If you wake up screaming and crying from night terrors, he’s right there, holding you tightly to calm you down- or immediately demanding a damp rag and a glass of water for you

He’s as steady as an old oak, rooted deeply in place right by your side

He will not contain his rage at anyone who dares speak ill of you in court or at banquets

He loves letting you play with the many rings on his fingers as you sit close together during feasts, forever proud of you for trying your best to attend

And then he makes sure to have plenty of alone time together for the coming week after while you recover from the social pressure

He takes you any place you want on the back of his dragon and loves just soaring in the clouds with you whenever existing weighs too heavy on your heart and mind

Aemond

He would gladly keep you in your shared chambers all day with him but he knows he has duties he must fulfill

If you’re okay with it and it’s not to hard on you, he would for sure entrust you to his sister, knowing she is a quiet but steady presence without any pressure to talk

He makes sure to take you on small walks whenever you have the energy to give your head some good stimulation

Whenever he has to leave the keep for the day and is unable to check in on you, he always brings flowers with him as an apology for leaving you, loving the way your eyes light up even just a tiny bit at the unfamiliar plants

He knows he can trust you with his own ailments just as you can him

Loved laying on your lap and letting you play with his hair if you need something to do with your hands, maybe while you’re trying to put the way your bones ache into words

Would fly to the end of the world to find a cure for you

Helaena

She’s a gentle but strong love beside you through even the harshest of storms in your mind

She knows how it feels to seemingly be trapped in your own mind and body

She loves reading aloud to you in bed or on a blanket in the grass under the sun filtering through the canopy of a tree when your bones won’t stay in place the way they should or your head is spinning

Massages your scalp gently with oils after bathing together and makes herbal teas for you to drink before bed to help your muscles relax

If you’re unable to sleep, she’ll quietly sing lullabies to you while you’re trying lay your head on her chest to feel her steady heartbeat against your cheek

Seems to know before you do when you’re having a particularly bad day, she senses it before she even reaches your doors after breakfast

That’s when she clears the rest of her day and either takes you on a long walk to get away from people or lays a makeshift bed in the window alcove to cuddle you until evening

Aegon

He might be an ass to most people but with you he’s soft, even softer than you’d expect

He can go from being snarky at court to gentle as soon as you enter the room with that look in your eyes that say you’re not doing well

He easily welcomes you any time you need him as he gladly takes it as an excuse to get out of his responsibilities

Aegon doesn’t care for his mother’s nagging when you tug at his sleeve, wishing to leave whatever gathering you’re at

He simply puts a gentle hand on your lower back and leads you out of there and to wherever you may want to go

Moves furniture around in his room to however you may wish or need it to be

If you are often bed ridden, he’ll have the bed moved to the perfect spot for you to still be able to look out one window while another can be open to give you an indirect breeze if fresh air

Or he has a mattress put in front of the fireplace in the winters so you can lay in front of the warm flames all day to keep the stiffness away from your joints

He knows he can get a bit overly excited and loud sometimes but one even slightly agitated look from you and he would literally be kneeling at your feet with his mouth shut

may i present 2 u this funny idea that made me giggle and idk it may become a fic at some point

you and ryland just casually talking in his classroom one late afternoon, like maybe you stopped by to just... check on him before leaving for the day and it spirals into a conversation. You're pacing his room with the lava bean bag in your hand, just aimlessly tossing it back and forth and some how some way the conversation turns sort of...... well, it's full of tension. and implications. and you can tell ryland is a nervous wreck

so, to break the tension, you ask him, "when are you going to ask me out?" and toss the bean bag at him but

you throw it too hard

he's not paying attention

it nails him right between his eyes.

his glasses go flying, the bean bag sploots to the floor and you both just look at each other from across his classroom before you burst out into laughter like, "I thought you were going to catch that!" "Why did you even throw it that hard?" He says at the same time and then it dawns upon him. Like, what you asked him. And what his honest to god answer would be and he's straight back to being a nervous wreck, trying to pick up his glasses from the floor. Once, twice, THREE TIMES it takes him because he keeps dropping them in his shaky hand.

you can hear him mumbling under his breath as he collects the lava, standing up quickly and shuffling to his desk, "Y-you want me to ask you?"

"I... thought that's where this conversation was going, I"m so sorry---" "Go out with me." ....

"That wasn't a question, I'm s-sorry. Let me try again." And Ryland has to try again like 5 times because he's nervous and can't seem to get it just right lol
