This is entirely too funny
She stuck a bookmark in my heart and walked away.
She (Saul Williams)
Falling in love, we said; I fell for him. We were falling women. We believed in it, this downward motion: so lovely, like flying, and yet at the same time so dire, so extreme, so unlikely. God is love, they once said, but we reversed that, and love, like heaven, was always just around the corner. The more difficult it was to love the particular man beside us, the more we believed in Love, abstract and total. We were waiting, always, for the incarnation. That word, made flesh. And sometimes it happened, for a time. That kind of love comes and goes and is hard to remember afterwards, like pain. You would look at the man one day and you would think, I loved you, and the tense would be past, and you would be filled with a sense of wonder, because it was such an amazing and precarious and dumb thing to have done; and you would know too why your friends had been evasive about it, at the time. There is a good deal of comfort, now, in remembering this.

I wonder whose arms would I run and fall into if I were drunk in a room with everyone I have ever loved.
this becomes almost deeper when you think of non-romantic loves too (via naomilku)

In Norwegian, you donāt refer to your romantic partner as a āboyfriendā or āgirlfriendā. You say ākjƦresteā, which is gender neutral and literally translates to āthe dearestā.
and in swedish you refer to your boyfriend/girlfriend by saying āƤlsklingā which translates into āmy beloved oneāĀ
And in Finnish we say āmulkvistiā which means āone I donāt hate as much as the othersā

Imagine this: Instead of waiting in her tower, Rapunzel slices off her long, golden hair with a carving knife, and then uses it to climb down to freedom. Just as sheās about to take the poison apple, Snow White sees the familiar wicked glow in the old ladyās...

Your face⦠Even when I think of it now, it kills me. How much love there was in that face. I saw you and I burst into tears. That face, that sweet open face with your love for me on it, soā¦open, so clear. And I thought - I thought - No one will ever love me this cleanly, this clearly again.
