Top 15 Weirdest Things Inside Taiwanese Claw Machines (Part 2)
This is part 2 of my post about the weirdest things in Taiwanese claw machines. If you havenât seen part 1, please check out my last post. Last thing to note before diving right in, this is NSFW so please use your discretion. Please donât blame me for the fact that itâs NSFW, blame Taiwan.
#5 Fake Dog Poop
I donât know why anyone would want any, but they were very realistic. They were advertised as super realistic and they even had strands of hair sticking out. (Last chance to leave before NSFW content)
#4 VibratorsÂ
Taiwanese claw machine owners have figured out what girls really want when they go to claw machine shops - not cute cuddly plushies, but a cheap vibrator that is questionable quality at best. Even better, girls would definitely be begging their boyfriends to claw them one of these.Â
#3 Fleshlight Knockoffs
Of course, guys donât have to feel left out because thereâe something for them too. Yes this claw machine was just sitting right out of the open. Thank god they censored the actual sex toy.on the packaging.. wait what?
#2 7-Piece BDSM Kit
Why go for each item individually when you can get them all in one pack. It comes with a whip, rope, handcuffs and blindfold. Also comes in different colours. Exactly what kids want!
#1 Girlsâ Phone Numbers
Okay this is pretty tamed compared to all the other ones on the list but just so plain weird.. Apparently you can get a girlâs phone number/ Line ID from a claw machine. They do emphasize that it is a âfriendship creatingâ service and not sexual. They even went further to saying the real girl will reply within 36 hours but it is not guaranteed that they will become friends - other factors may affect the friendship. However they do provide a free workshop for the guy to improve his looks/ personality though. What a weird weird thing.. So this wraps up the countdown for the weirdest things in claw machines. If I feel like it, I will make a separate post for honorable mentions. Thanks for reading!
Top 15 Weirdest Things Inside Taiwanese Claw Machines (Part 1)
The claw machine culture is apparently very alive in Taiwan. In most of the cities I have been to, there are claw machine stores in every block, most of the time several stores. Inside these 24/7 claw stores, there were dozens of claw machines, each one containing different prizes. I have always related claw machines with cute, unwinnable plushies, but turns out these claw machines were way less innocent than that. These are the top 15 weirdest things I have found in Taiwanese claw machines (#6-15). Keep in mind that these machines were found just on the stores on the street and were available to everyone, including kids. I didnât go into some adult stores to specifically to find weird claw machines. Oh yeah this list is NSFW.Â
#15 - Cup Noodles
This was the claw machine that inspired me to make this list. If you are craving for some cup noodles, you can, instead of going to convenience stores that are located every street corner, you could try your luck to win one from a claw machine. This was the moment when I realized Taiwanese people would just put anything they could fit inside a claw machine inside one. Of course, it would be way cheaper and more convenient to just buy a cup noodle from the store...
#14 - Claw Machines
Well we have gone a full circle. You could win a mini toy claw machine from a claw machine. I admit I do actually want one but I sure as hell wouldnât be trying to win one from a claw machine.Â
#13 - Various Girl Essentials
I guess the concept here is that it has a bunch of things girls want? Inside the machine there are mirrors, contact lens solution, lipstick, lotion, eye-shadow etc. Of course I am doubtful of the quality but I mean what do you expect from a claw machine.Â
#12 - Socks
If you are ever looking for cheap knockoff Nike socks, claw machines are the way to go... apparently.
#11 - Backpacks
Honestly I am mostly impressed by the fact that they made claw machines big enough to fit bags. You get to choose whichever brand you want to knockoff as a bonus!
#10 - Short Rib
Well thankfully there wasnât actually any short ribs inside the machine, but this machine was located inside a night market and you could redeem the short rib at a nearby store. I guess if Taiwanese people could avoid paying for something directly, they would always choose to take the claw machine route.Â
#9 - Toad
Of course you could also find a coupons to redeem other things. One of those other things is apparently a pet toad. I donât know what anyone would want to do with a pet toad but I guess home aquarium is always an option.Â
#8 - Skimpy Outfit Figurines
Well I guess this is where the NSFW part begins. You probably already expected dolls of girls in skimpy outfits when you first started reading so here they are. Not only can you find girls in various skimpy outfits, but also with different skin tone, boob sizes, hair colour etc. They mostly have your fetish covered.Â
#7 - LingerieÂ
Yup. Straight up sexy lingerie. Though I wonder what the target audience for these are. Most of the customers I have seen in claw machine shops are young guys. I guess some of these guys get home their girlfriends are going to be lucky enough to get a dollar store quality lingerie. On the other hand... I guess if guys have some kind of fetish they are wear it themsel..... anyways NEXT!
#6 - Boobs Mousepads
I mean Iâd hope that these are gag gifts, and itâs not just that they found a market of guys that want to be fondling breasts while they are on the computer. Next post I will be back counting down the top 5 and it will be a lot more NSFW.Â
This was definitely not what expected. This âcafeâ is basically a little coffee bar in the middle of a trendy apparel shop. There are no seats or tables. Unusual visit for sure but it is in the middle of a sketchy neighbourhood. As someone who had to transit to this location I would say it was probably not worth teh trip.Â
This cute little coffee roaster is located right off the worst neighbourhood in Vancouver. It is only steps away from the Pigeon Park and I witnessed a drug deal as I was leaving the cafe so I bolted the other way. Negatives aside, this coffee roasters have a wide selection of chocolate and freshly roasted coffee beans. The environment is great for studying. Ultimately, I would have liked this cafe a lot more if it was located in a relatively safe neighbourhood.Â
This little Italian cafe is attached to the restaurant next door of the same name. The coffee here is relatively inexpensive but again, this cafe suffers from its terrible location. While it is a great place to study, it certainly is far from having a decent view.Â
This cafe is a rather good change of pace from the very busy street outside. This part of Commercial Drive is full of surprises. This cute little cafe is no exception. This coffee bar offers a great place to study and a relatively peaceful environment.Â
To say that this isnât in the best neighbourhood in Vancouver would be a complete understatement. Ignoring the journey to this cafe, the inside is pretty amazing. It is very very spacious with lots of desk space for studying. There are artwork all over the cafe with very steep price tags but are free to enjoy. While not the most comfortable cafe, it does have its aesthetics.Â
This was right off a pretty area street in downtown. Like other bubble tea places, this one was just average. The prices are a bit steep for bubble tea but the location does warrant a little bit of the high price. Overall, nothing too impressive. They do offer a milk cap though which was something I havenât seen before, but I didnât take the chance to try it.Â
The cafe was pretty busy when I got here but I was surprised that they offered French Press for the same price as regular coffee. With that, this multi-floor cafe really blew my mind with its interior design and it looks great, even as busy as it was when I visited.Â
I donât know what to say about this one. The place is clean and nicely decorated. It is designed more like a dessert place but I only got to try to bubble tea. It was typical and the quality of the bubble tea was slightly above average.Â
This is perhaps the best combination ever existed. This location on Main Street is super nicely decorated. The super long line-up basically tells you all you need to know about the quality.Â
