I’m still pretty sad Toffee is gone for the time being, my life just isn’t the same without this ridiculous lizard to headcanon about.

and yeah, i guess headcanon is now also a verb in my vocabulary.

But also, how grossed out do you think other monsters were at his missing finger? Because while I’m sure a lot them are used to seeing open wounds and visible bones and maybe having things leak or ooze from time to time (I find it hard to believe his wound didn’t still ooze a bit), I feel like others would be pretty uncomfortable. And some would be disgustingly fascinated and try to poke it. Partly I say this because this exact situation happened to me when I had an awful sunburn on my neck, but I could see Ludo’s monsters being a bit squeamish at times.

Anyways, hope all of you lovely people are doing well and 2018 is treating you right!

I am! For the most part. I realize I should have specified that all of this is for work; I wasn’t living homeless in the woods or anything (not that that’s bad either). Things have mostly just been busy and internet not as abundant as it used to be, but life for the most part has gone well. Thanks for your concern :)

Hey guys, it’s been a long wile. For anyone interested in my leave of absence, a quick summary is below:

-Graduating college kicked my ass

-Then I lived in my car for 3 weeks

-Then I lived in the forest for 4/7th of the week and had no internet the remaining 3/7th

-Then I moved somewhere with slightly better internet, but, not gonna lie, was ridiculously disappointed over the way Battle for Mewni played out and had to take a break from the show because of said disappointment

Now I’m sort of back because even though I have internet is still frequently prone to slowness and outages. But I’ll try being a bit more active with this, and my other, blogs. Thanks for y’all who stuck around!

Fandom: Star Vs. the Forces of Evil

Summary: AU comedy sketch. Denizens from Mewni continue to misunderstand Earth culture.

A/N: Originally started as a short comic idea. Then I thought writing out as fic would be quicker, also interesting to do—and then it expanded way beyond the orginal short comic idea. May still turn some of this into a short comic.

Excerpt:  “You just had to come back now?!” Star shouted, waving her wand haphazardly enough that Ludo, newly possession-free but feeling drained as junk, crept further out of her line of fire; while Toffee, newly-in-his-own-damn-body, just arched a brow. “I didn’t even get to try Earth summer vacation because of you!”

My sister and I were talking the other day and we realized that Toffee was probs really stoned for most of season one to help deal with stress. Half-closed, semi-unfocused eyes? Slow manner of speech? All the cryptic things he says are him trying to wrap his head around the altered state of reality. Explains the giant sandwiches that keep popping up in Storm the Castle and his remarkably nonchalant attitude to Star busting in from nowhere. Like, by the time Star blasts him he was probably many hits in and it just took him that long to process it. That, or he realizes he’s coming down (though imagining him blowing the wand high as a kite is glorious).
