Hi there ^^ so uh I'm queer and I watch supdaily06 every once in a while. I was wondering why you don't approve of him supporting the LGBTQ+ community. I'm just generally curious, because if you think about it, we're such a minority, and we really need straight support. He's a good guy who isn't trying to get attention for himself, but for this community. What has he done wrong? Sorry for bothering you x

“He’s a good guy who isn’t trying to get attention for himself” but he’s not a good guy and he totally is trying to get attention for himself. Every video of his is “I did this for the LGBT community” or “this gay experience happened to me” or “I was hit on by a gay person”. To me, an actual member of the LGBT community, that shit comes off fake af. To me that comes off as using my community as a way to bring attention to himself and bait gay people into watching his usually problematic or misinformed videos. Secondly he posted a video called “Tinder Terrors- Transgender” which was basically about how he allegedly went on a date when a transgender woman who he thought was attractive up until he found out she was trans and basically, as he says, he told her that he wasn’t attracted to her anymore and allegedly she went off on him, probably rightfully….. And he was outraged that she didn’t appreciate his ‘honesty’. In his “Why I Go To Gay Bars” video he talks about how gay bars are fun for him than straight bars and how weird it is that gay guys hit on him at gay bars and how much easier it is to hit on girls at straight bars because they allegedly think, again as he says, that he is so open-minded and admirable for going out of his way to invade our safe spaces and be within the vacinity of members of the LGBTQIA community all the while showing no indication or concern that these women might be gay or bi themselves or that they want to be here with their friends so they won’t get hit on. Lastly just the other day, yesterday I think, he said that after being asked to stop exploiting our community by members of the gay community, he said that the people who were asking him to stop were “young” and basically he implied that they were naive and basically spoke over LGBT voices to announce that he was not going to stop speaking for us. Basically he’s an asshole for many reasons and he wants the kudos for being the best ally ever when in reality he’s a really shitty one. Hope that answers your question!Edit: PS- I also want to note that I don’t mind straight support but when straight voices are speaking over LGBT voices, especially ignorant straight voices like his, I have a problem.

Allies.

The role of an ally is to ally with not talk over the people they ally for. If you're a straight ally then you should listen to the voices of the queer people you claim to represent and not dismiss them as young kids who should appreciate you being a hero of the lgbtq+ community. Straight allies don't get pats on the back for being decent human beings. Especially when they admit they're profiting from it.
