“I am not sorry for who I had to become in order to survive.”
— Schuyler Peck (via schuylerpeck)
i hope you heal from the things no one ever apologized for
and I hope you heal from the things you don’t want to talk about
I hope you heal from the things no one else knows you went through
I hope you heal from the things you thought you had to apologize for
stop defining yourself by what you lack. you are not the absence of qualities, you’re the presence of them.
“The strongest people are the ones who are still kind even after the world tore them a part.”
— Raven Emotion
even if you have depression, anxiety, or any other mental illness —
even on your bad days —
you still deserve love and to be loved completely.
just because you don’t look the way society tells you to, doesn’t mean that you’re unattractive.
Was there something I could've said to make it all stop hurting? It kills me how your mind could make you feel so worthless
Lewis Capaldi
*breaks my own heart from thinking too much*
Friendly reminder that the reason you feel so much better is because of your meds, don’t stop taking them unless you talk to your doctor first, you really do need them, I promise.
Around June I stopped taking my eye medication because I hadn’t had a problem with my eyes in months. I got really lazy about doing it; then I stopped them altogether.
Turns out, the reason I stopped having problems with my eyes was because I was religiously taking my medication. Whodathunk. Now I have to work to get back to the place I was before I decided I was “better” (I wasn’t!).
If you thought this post was just about anti-depressants or lithium, it could be! For me, this post is about eyedrops, for you it might be about antibiotics, or it might be about zoloft. Whatever it is, please consider talking to your doctor before making a sudden shift to stop taking it. It’s not bad to be on medication. It’s not bad to need it.
…and on a related note, do not let anyone tell you that because you start feeling worse if you don’t take your medication, that means you’re “addicted”. That is not how addiction works.

Check up on your friends for the holidays please, seasonal depression is real.
I hope one day you’ll be able to call yourself beautiful
Brain: he’s definitely not into us so let’s forget him and move on
Heart: yeah sound cool and all but what if you imagined perfect and impossible scenarios with him and got your hopes up?
Brain: okay im listening...
My eyes automatically search for you in a crowd even though I know you won’t be there
