I Loved You Like The Sun
Huzzah, Laurmau angst! I was struggling sm with Laurence's side of the lighting so I just gave up so I apologize if it looks half assed cAUSE IT IS! but anyway I did truly enjoy making this though it did frustrate me at some point, this is like a very experimental style that Im playing around with so,, I hope it isnt too bad :)) Also, I have alt versions of the blending effects cause I was indecisive (and versions with no text) so I might post those soon!
Im currently working on putting together a download for every MCD episode so you guys dont have to deal with the hassle of sketchy online Mp4 converters like i am willing to do.
It may take a while for me to get a link posted for it as i’m trying to get the episodes all in 1080p which can take quite a while for any episodes reaching the 20 minute mark in runtime, but if anyone is interested in being tagged when i do post it, lmk.
I’m also willing to do other series and minigames but i’m just prioritising mainline mcd for now as this was originally meant to be for me to stop contributing to their viewcounts with my rewatches but more people have shown interest so aha

This started off as a quick warm-up doodle but very quickly devolved into me actually thinking about my headcanons for Lilith-Garnet and Alina (Or Joey in this case)
Alina is now a Laurmau baby (I literally flipped a coin on who got to be the father, and it landed on my man Laurance lmfao). Johannah is named after Laurance's late father (Joh/Johanson) and she's a carbon copy of her mother except for her eyes. Joey's a very chipper and charismatic young girl who carries herself rather elegantly as she takes after Garroth's mannerisms and overall politeness. She wonders about her dad a lot and constantly asks her brother about him, to which Malachi will always cave. That man loves telling stories to his baby sisters.
Lilith-Garnet is the living embodiment of a firecracker. She gets in trouble a lot because of her rather colourful vocabulary that she picked up from all the adults in town, her favourite cuss word being "twat". Aphmau thinks its hilarious. Garroth does not.
Lilith-Garnet kept Aaron's surname because he was the one who initially adopted her before Aphmau took her in after he died. She's set to inherit his longsword once she's old (and tall) enough.
They both ask about their dads a lot, and both Aph and Garroth love telling them stories before bedtime. The two miss their husband and dearest friend a lot, and telling their daughters their stories helps them keep their memories alive.
Joey dreams of becoming a lord just like her mother and brother, and Lilith dreams of being a guard. They made a promise to each other that if Joey ends up a Lord, then Lilith will automatically be her head-guard so they can be there and protect each other for as long as they live.

This is a series that always caught my eye at the school library but never had the time to read nor the means to collect them all. Now I do (might see more of these girls in my blog)!

my #issue with discourse surrounding laurance’s characterisation from mid-late s2/early s3 is the common refusal to even acknowledge that the possibility that maybe his toxic behaviour was in-character. it is thoroughly showcased throughout s2 that laurance’s mental health is rapidly declining as a result of the calling, targeting his rational thinking and emotional regulation. not to mention that a key feature of his s2 arc is deconstructing the projected image of himself as a flirtatious ladies man, revealing both his inner vulnerabilities and darkest traits. late-s2 laurance is a distorted picture of his earlier self. playful flirtation turns into possessive behaviour, passion turns into violent aggression and independence turns into isolation. so is his behaviour so heinously out of character or is it a natural consequence of a man stretched to his limit?
