Intro post wooo!!!!!

Hi, I'm Pastel, I go by PastelPython on most sites and I'm a digital artist! I use she/her pronouns.

I'm going to mainly be using this blog to post stuff I wouldn't on other platforms like sketches and wips and the like, but I'll post finished pieces too.

I draw a variety of things but these are the current fandoms I'm most active in/things that I like:

Hi thank you so much!! Yes I plan to make more Aphmau/MCD stuff soon! (Whenever I can find the time 😭) I really want to flesh out my designs for the main cast. Hopefully there will be more to come for this stuff within the next month! Thanks for the ask, it makes me feel happy and motivated knowing people like my Aphmau stuff! I was a bit nervous about posting it at first haha

Foraging Through Time

New paleoart piece!! This one is of a therizeinosaurus and a wild turkey, done in watercolor and colored pencil. This piece is about a story of a therizeinosaurus who has chosen to care for a small turkey in the same way a mother bird would care for it's young, because it resembles a smaller version of the dinosaur, their bond transcends eras and represents their evolution through time.

I would also like to note that this is not fully size accurate* the turkey would be significantly smaller in comparison to the therizeinosaurus but I made it larger in order to maintain it's details.

Interwoven

New paleoart piece! This one is with primally watercolor outlined in colored pencil, it's of a sinosauropteryx and red fox. They are pretty similar to each other in my opinion, and filled the same ecological niches in their respective ecosystems. Both were around the same size, both ate small lizards and mammals, and both had the same colors. It's amazing how nature repeats it's patterns even millions of years apart. A winding circle with no end.

So my general idea was that her DNA is mixed with an orange lizard's, because of this they are passive towards her, and on rare occasions may even lead her towards food sources. Taming lizards is generally much faster and they require less food to stay tamed. She also has extra strechy skin attached to her arms which allow her to glide short distances after a long fall, (similar to how squidcadas work when you hold them and drop or jump down from a ledge). To counteract these buffs, she is fully carnivores and cannot eat plants (aside from popcorn plants like how Hunter can). She cannot eat orange lizards. She can maul creatures and also can run much faster and jump higher, but her spear throw distance is significantly decreased. Red lizards and other more difficult enemies are much more common. She'd have 10 food pip requirements with 2 left over when saving.

That's about it for my idea for her general gameplay style if she were to be modded in the game!! Still working out her story rn so I'll post more later :) thanks for reading

I understand that this is might not be to the cup of tea to my most of my followers butttt Minecraft Diaries has always been a big part of my childhood and really inspired me to want to draw and create stories as a child. I felt like doodling some fanart for fun so here's a super rough sketch of an Aphmau MCD design, specifically when she has her purple dress and flower crown :)
