Concept: Cold Topic. The opposite of Hot Topic. You walk in and you don’t immediately feel a thousand goth eyes piercing into you. The music is peaceful and subdued and not destroying your eardrums. Lots of color and pastel shades. You find a ton of cute stuff and the lack of the ow the edge attitude is kinda pleasant. The salesperson offers you complimentary cupcakes. You find yourself in a welcoming atmosphere, but it’s a little too welcoming. Another salesperson appears except they look identical to the first one. You start to feel uncomfortable so you buy your things and head for the door. Then 5 more freakishly identical salespeople appear to obstruct your escape route. They don’t let you leave

“How is that person WALKING after I saw them in a WHEELCHAIR it’s a SCAM”
Stunningly, oh One of Great Observational Talent, many disabled folks have some level of independent mobility, but prefer to use mobility aids rather than shuffling along in pain only to collapse of fatigue an hour later.
Also, it’s not ya damn business.
Being an adult is having the “we have food at home” talk with yourself.
I’m here, I’m queer, and my joint pain is moderate to severe
the sun has no business tapping out at the tender hour of 5pm bitch i have depression
*rolls sleeves so they know I’m not straight*
why is there such a stigma against wearing pads? like why is it that people who wear tampons are seen as ‘strong’ and ‘cool’? y’all know that someone people can’t wear them bc it hurts them or that they just don’t like them? stop making it seem like people who wear pads are childish and weak compared to those who wear tampons
A note for my disabled/chronically ill/neurodivergent/mentally ill friends this Thanksgiving: It’s okay... To go to bed early. To go home early. To excuse yourself for fresh air or to get away from the chaos. To remove yourself from uncomfortable conversations. To find the comfiest spot. To bring distractions. To wear whatever feels best. To use a mobility aid. To not help prepare the meal if you aren’t feeling well. To not be okay. To fidget. To be awkward. Don’t compromise your own well-being for someone else. You deserve to enjoy this holiday in whatever way you can. Happy Thanksgiving.
if u don’t kiss ur cat on their tiny soft little forehead wtf are u even doing
Yelling at her for trying to eat plastic
Whenever someone says things like “well some of us have to work” or “not everyone can stay at home all day” I get an actual physical pain in my chest. Saying something like that to a disabled person who cannot work is one of the cruelest things you can say because believe it or not we actually want to be able to work. we don’t want to be stuck at home 24/7. most of us have this longing to be productive members of society but we just can’t because of our disabilities. If you’ve ever said anything like that to a disabled person who can’t work then you should be ashamed of yourself.
y’all love to mock asian nail salon owners so here’s a little background for your dumbasses:
during the vietnam war, many vietnamese refugees came to america, a lot being women and their children. an american actress, tippi hedren, flew to sacramento, ca. to visit a refugee camp. she wanted to meet the women who were living there and figure out ways to support them. many of them had lost their husbands in the war and were now left without an income and many had no knowledge of how to begin to provide for themselves and their children. while there, tippi noticed that many of the women were fascinated with her manicured nails. tippi had gotten the idea to fly her manicurist to the refugee camp to teach the women how to do nails, in hopes of giving these women a way to support themselves and their families. tippi had paid for 20 women from the refugee camp to attend beautician school and help them get their licenses & eventually find jobs. about 51% of manicurists in the u.s. are vietnamese and many of them are direct descendants of these 20 women who were given the chance to go to beautician school at the courtesy of tippi. so next time y’all want to mock and make fun of hardworking nail techs and treat them like shit, just remember that this is all because of the labor and the persistence of their ancestors who came here with nothing.
I love how potato in French is pomme de terre, which pretty much means “earth apple.”
like what stupid frenchman saw this:
and said “zis petite légume looks like a, how you say, APPLE! hmmm… but it grows in ze earth… HON HON HON! MAIS OUI! C’EST UNE POMME DE TERRE!”
j’adore comment ananas se dit pineapple en anglais, ce qui veut littéralement dire “pomme de pin”, genre quel type anglais a vu ça:
et s’est dit : “ow cette étrange big fruit ressemble à une, how do you say, POMME! hmmm… mais plutôt une pomme qui pousse dans les pins… HU HU HU! OH YES, IT’S A PINEAPPLE!” (z’avez vu, on peut le faire aussi… hon hon hon!)
I can’t even read French and I’m laughing my ass off
This is good
yo i ain’t saying she’s a gold-digger but she does carry a weird pan everywhere and keep mumbling stuff about “gold in them there hills” idk so yeah she is probably a gold digger
in my sophomore year of college this guy made these items which quickly became a craze across campus. i myself bought one of his sweaters, which says “GOOD AND DEAD” across the chest and “ARM PAIN” along the sleeves. he showed up at 11 pm on a bicycle to deliver the goods in the dead of winter, wearing a metal t-shirt tucked into khakis. his facebook screen name is an indecipherable series of symbols. i have no authentic way to credit him but i want to share his art with you.
