chapter 218 made me realize that Sakura's anger isn't really anger….

It's hurt.

Because the person who helped teach him that relying on others wasn't a weakness never gave himself the same grace.

Sakura trusted Suo. He believed in him. He probably thought that if something was wrong, Suo would tell him.

Instead, he's finding out that Suo has been carrying all of this alone and maybe the most painful part is that Suo never even seemed to consider sharing the burden.

fic idea:

Suo tells Sugi about RC early on and Sugi files the information away under "interesting things I know about my friend."

Then months later something weird happens, and Sugi is the only one in Bofurin who immediately goes:

"Oh. This is RC-related, isn't it?"

And that's the moment he realizes Suo didn't tell him because he wanted to talk about his past.

Suo told him because somebody needed the context.

Sugi is not thrilled to discover he has apparently been appointed Suo's contingency plan.

Or pretty much Sugi being Suo’s: “ Break Glass In Case of Emergency” friend.

Waiting for the next Wind Breaker chapter during the Suo arc got me acting like a dog that heard the treat bag crinkle.

The chapter drops. I consume it in five minutes. I spend the next three hours staring at walls and rotating Suo in my mind like a rotisserie chicken.

Then I look at the calendar and calculate the days til the next chapter.

I have endured hardships. I have survived difficult times. But nothing has tested my patience quite like having to wait in between releases during this arc.

I blame the Crunchyroll Anime Awards for reigniting my Yuri on Ice issues.

I was doing fine. Thriving, even. Then they had to remind me that Yuri on Ice exists, and now I'm back in 2016 rewatching skating programs, listening to the soundtrack, and wondering what happened to the movie.

the way I think Sakura’s resolve will falter a bit the minute he finds out about those kids and especially if he hears them call Suo ‘Sunfei-nii’. It’s gonna rock his world view a bit.

I’m sure he’ll quickly realign with his purpose for being there. He wants to talk to Suo and wants to understand. I just think the minute he’s faced with the realization that Suo isn’t doing all this because he wants to hurt them but because he’s trying to protect those kids… it’s gonna shake him a bit.

after writing my DID suo fic, one of the readers gave me the idea of making suo & sun fei’s dynamic basically venom and eddie brock and now i cannot stop thinking about it 😭
