most importantly love like it’s the only thing you know how at the end of the day all this means nothing this page where you’re sitting your degree your job your money nothing even matters except love and human connection who you loved and how deeply you loved them how you touched the people around you and how much you gave them

I stopped explaining myself when I realized,
People only understand from their level of perception

Well tumblr its certainly been a hot minute since I posted here.
I’m married now. My wedding day was one of, if not THE happiest day.
Problem is, after such a wonderful day and honeymoon, surrounded by those you love and love you, continuing on and getting back to the everyday kind of life of work and routine is difficult. To say the least.
One of the things that has really been tricky for me to wrap my head around is that I want many different things for myself, and my new family, and I just feel like there is simply not the time for all of it. There’s never enough to achieve what I want too, as well as the time to really enjoy it. All these things forever feel like a toss up between monetary gain and time. You win some you lose some. I’ve upped my game at work in the hopes of furthering my career. But I am sacrificing my time spent on dancing, on arts, on relaxing and taking the time for my peace of mind.
What can you do? I don’t know. I’m currently trying to keep a foot in everything, not to mention take time for friends and family. There are many things in life that are important to me. I think its all a game of constant checking in and making sure I’m still aligned with my priorities, making sure they haven’t changed but I’m still behaving the same way.
I really don’t know! I’m just trying to do what I feel needs to be done!
Somehow our society has formed a one-sided view of the human personality, and for some reason everyone understood giftedness and talent only as it applied to the intellect. But it is possible not only to be talented in one’s thoughts but also to be talented in one’s feelings as well.
Lev Vygotsky, Russian psychologist (1896-1934)
I have always lived a creative life, and I know that you can’t be creative without being vulnerable. And you can’t be vulnerable without experiencing fear. I have come to believe that Creativity and Fear are in fact conjoined twins; they share all the same major organs, and they cannot be separated, one from the other, without killing them both. And you don’t want to murder Creativity just to destroy Fear! You must accept that Creativity cannot walk even one step forward except by marching side-by-side with its attached sibling of Fear. They have to learn how to coexist, in other words, and you must learn to accept them both, if you want to invent things.

One of the most common questions that I see asked in the fitness community is “how do you stay so motivated to do such and such activity?” But I think one of the most common things that people aren’t realizing is that you can’t rely on motivation to get you through on the path to achieving your goals, you have to either form new habits that are going to change your life for the better or really, really like whatever physical activity you are partaking in or whatever foods you are eating. Anyone who is looking to make a lifestyle change is obviously not content with where they are at health wise or habit wise, but the only way to change this life of yours is to change your lifestyle. You can’t be forcing leafy greens you hate down your throat every day or setting your alarm for the crack of dawn to go on a run you despise every day. It’s just not maintainable. Find foods you like that fit your goals that you will WANT to eat every day and find sorts of physical activity that you can and WANT to incorporate more often into your week, and you will find that your goals will become much more attainable and your life will become enjoyable. Fitness should feel like it’s an amazing addition to your life, not something that always feels like it’s taking away from your life and making it more difficult
THIS!!! THIS RIGHT HERE!!!
Yes! Honestly motivation is not enough. It will come and go. Combinations and variations of enjoyment and discipline will carry you through the long term.
The more I dance, the stronger I get. BRING IT ON, BITCHES! You’ve messed up with the wrong Baphomet’s daughter! 😈🗡🎶

I haven’t ever had a celebration event as an adult. Ever. Not for a birthday, nothing. So this is very special to me.
Shout out again to dance changing my life. Hula hooping and dance is where I met all my best friends and found my passion all at once <3 Oh, I’m also turning 30 next week. Yeah.
