Problematic People (Part 1)

A, B, and C are having a discussion.

A says: “All three of us are liars.  I’m so happy!”  B says. “Actually, exactly one of us is a truth-teller.  Sorry to disappoint you.”

What are the types of A, B, and C?

A,B, and C can only either be liars or truth tellers.

Having to listen to the stories of pathological liar halfway around the globe through someone else makes me cringe. I seriously doubt I’d ever be anywhere near happy in a room filled with liars.

In old Mongolia , shamans would attach cloth dolls or ongons as vessels or homes for their spirit guides (also known as ongons). This particular shaman’s coat has a red cloth dragon attached to it.I so want that dragon!

(Though I’m not particularly sure what kind of spirit inhabits that particular ongon.)

The steps in making a hammered teapot. For some reason it has a strange resemblance to an organ which I remember very clearly being described to me as a “teapot” when I was young.

A good book on a subject which just isn’t covered enough. The Latin alphabet can get too boring at times. I can’t believe it’s not even available on amazon.com yet but it’s already out on the Asian market. Though “Chinese Typography” would be a better title since it covers mainly Chinese Hanzi with some Japanese Kanji and a passing mention to Hangeul .

The worst possible well done,cohesive and comprehensive set of instructions I’ve had. Not that they were meant to be useful anyways. But they do give a general idea of where I should head.

Takahe (top), Pukeko (middle) and Tui (bottom).

The takahe is a flightless bird native to New Zealand that was once believed to be extinct.It’s related to the pukeko or the purple swamphen which still retains it’s ability to fly.You could sort of see some similarities between the two.

The tui or parsonbird is known for it’s song and ability to mimic the song of other birds. They have a white ruffle of feathers on it’s neck which are distinct. Also they feed mostly on nectar or sugar syrup and can be seen commonly on trees whose flowers produce a lot of nectar or on sugar syrup feeders as seen here.

Blue Penguins in burrows made specifically for them! Located in Tiritiri Matangi Island. Picture is a little blur because of the plexiglass covering. I can’t remember if it can be removed but wouldn’t want to disturb the penguins in their rest.
