Main CG designs for my PD steven au, also giving a little context on the desing aspects (other than steven who is basically in a more masculine version of the pd outfit)

Pearl: a “few poof in” into a more pink but still default pearl style, Rose Quartz never happened in this universe, at least not in the way it did in the show so Pearl didn’t get the liberation not having someone of diamond status order her around, so while she has found some more freedom with Steven, she still holds the kind of air that a pearl should

Amethyst: Earth being a full on colony, ame being a bit too long in the ground didn’t really matter. She’s a resident of the zoo just like the rest of the famethyst and enjoys the company of the humans there, she’s the one Steven feels like he can be the most… kid with in a way,

Garnet: Garnet isn’t really garnet for long periods of time, ruby and sapphire sneak around to fuse, and have found that being around quartzes in the pink court let her be herself a little more as they seem to be more accepting of more deviant gems (reason why she’s still a little spotty)
