Sometimes it seems as though Ingo has reached a point of disenchantment with his career, where he curses how repetitive it can feel. He still held on tight to his passion to battle, but many of the challengers that came through did not. They all want to win, yes, this much is true, but they all choose to do so using means that are now predictable at best.
His position still has its perks, though few and far between.
He often tries to leave them with parting advice, trying to encourage them to harness the potential of not only their Pokemon, but themselves. But still, he worries that it only falls upon deaf ears.
In fact, Ingo can very well count each instance where he truly felt like he could connect with a challenger on just one hand.
