Don’t you love it how Ashley will ASK chris to shoot her but then still locks Chris out with the wendigo.

Well, think about it from Ashley’s perspective. The guy who’s her best friend who said he would get her out of this and not let her die and promised to protect her takes a gun, points it at her, and tries to shoot her. This guy was supposed to be her knight in shining armor; he broke his promise. Yes, locking him out was intentional, but the takeaway wasn’t supposed to be that Ashley is a heartless bitch, it’s ‘look at what trauma can do to a person.’ You know how people are in a panic, they say things they don’t mean, but imagine if your crush tried to shoot you after he told you he wouldn’t let you die. I bet Chris would be getting a lot of hate if you were controlling Ashley and based on their relationship status, he would point the gun at her or himself. And then you would control Ashley as Chris approaches the door and if he tried to shoot her, you would get a choice to let him in or not. Doesn’t that turn the tables a lot?

Added: The creators of the game said Ash did what she did because she is unpredictable not to mention if you think back to when she saw Josh ‘die’. Upon that she had a breakdown and was probably suffering from a lot given they either found Sam passed out and in the chair or not at all she had a lot on her mind. And on top of that before Chris left her mind was racing she just had someone she had known for years who she LOVED point a gun at her. She probably looked at him and had a moment of a flashback to when he raised the gun and WAS going to shoot and kill her.

 Under the same circumstance a person cannot say they wouldn’t act the same because people in themselves are unpredictable. Out of everyone Ash kept that section of a person alive and the most realistic as compared to the others who seemed a bit more calm than her. Ashley was written to react to the situation like most people under pressure would and the creators told us that. So think about how and why she was written before being critical of their choices to write her. Ash acted like a normal person and for that we shouldn’t judge her. Ash was written to be unpredictable, your in game choices matter we were told that WE WERE TOLD THINGS WOULD EFFECT EACH OTHER. So because of your choices you shouldn’t be bitter at a character acting like a NORMAL UNPREDICTABLE person. 

We were told that things would happen and chocies mattered Ash was not only hurt probably terrified and not to mention suffering from traumatic stress. Also on top of that it was the first time she had legitimately seen a wendigo, she probably froze in fear seeing it face to face and around Chris. So honestly look at the formatting of the game Ash isn’t a bitch and was pissed at Chris so she locked him out. Her character was actually developed and had reasons not out of hatred out of stress, fear, trauma, and such to why she froze and couldn’t open the door. She acted how any of us would, we are unpredictable in reality they just made sure we knew that the choices had an effect and that a person again can’t be predictable.
