I wanted to use what âreachâ I may have here to share the Carolina Wildlife Centerâs urgent plea for donations. If they are unable to raise $75,000 to cover ongoing and future care of their wildlife patients, the center will have to close July 20th, 2026. The services provided by CWC to the community are incredibly valuable, and without them, many wild animals will suffer without the care they need.

I'll be extending my donation commissions offer to the Caroline Wildlife Center through the rest of the month!
Just send me an ask with a screenshot of your receipt and what animal you'd like to request, and I'll DM you to follow up!
the âOld Testament Godâ construction pisses me off because like. thatâs my wife. thatâs my girl. Sheâs swift in dealing out justice for the innocent and firm in upholding Her laws, She comforts the slave and the exile and the outcast and brings mighty kingdoms to their knees. She challenges great and ancient pantheons to stand before Her and call themselves worthy of being the gods of their chosen lands and she reveals their inability to keep their promises, by fire and flood and plague. She brings life and death at once. If youâre not in love with that part of Her all I can say is âskill issueâ.
The first person to give a name to God was a slave, who called Them, âThe One Who Sees Meâ

Teacher with Stage 4 Colon Cancer Needs Help
My dad is a science teacher at a public middle school. A month after turning 50, he suddenly learned he has stage 4 colon cancer that's metastasized to his liver and lungs. When I visited him in the hospital, he kept repeating the words "I'm scared. I don't want to die." I turned my head to the wall and cried.
My mom, an LVN, has been driving to his place often in order to care for him and empty his ileostomy bag, which he's still too scared to even look at. Not being able to go to the bathroom normally, and dealing with accidents where the bag of his own waste bursts and leaks onto him makes him feel humiliated and is causing him to become extremely depressed.
We're thankful that my mother a nurse, but she makes much less than he does as a teacher, and has been draining her retirement for his treatment. She's also had to take ubers lately to go see him because she can't drive at night, as she has a serious vision disability due to a genetic condition that eventually results in blindness.
Most of the money received is from my mom, other family members, and former students of my father. But what's maybe even more important than the amount received, is the number of people donating. I can see how hopeful and excited it makes my dad to see just 5 donations in a day from people he doesn't know.
When multiple strangers donate even just $5 each in a day, I can tell that it makes him even more excited than it does to see that same amount donated by one person in a day. (which is still very exciting!! One person who reblogged this donated $100, which was so generous that my parents were scratching their heads trying to figure out who they knew with the name Adrian. Thank you so much to that very kind person who doesn't even follow me đđ¤đЎ)
The other day, I asked mutuals to donate, and 5 people sent $5-$25, bringing the gfm up ~$80. My mom called my dad to let him know, "all those donations came from her freaks on tumblr!!" He thanked me over and over and was amazed when I told him this post was shared 500 times. He said, that's so many people! It really brightened his day so much.
I would appreciate it if you could take the time to open his page, even if you can only donate $1. For you, it may be just a small dent in our goal that won't make a difference. But to him, it shows that there's one more human out there who sees him, who's thinking about him, who knows his name, knows what he's going through, and wishes for him to recover. Even a dollar means the world to us!!!
Please, think about saving this post and donating $1, $5, or $10 this week. Share it online, with people you know irl, with anyone who could help. If you can't spare anything now, I'd appreciate if you could take the time to just pray for him and his recovery. You can send an ask to let me know if you'd like, as prayers are something that comfort my dad a great deal.
Thank you everyone who's supported us so far, I love you all dearly and I'm so incredibly grateful for your help.

âSubvertingâ Catholic art? Oh, okay. I see, you think this has nothing to do with you. You log onto the internet and you post about how âWound of Christâ from Psalter and Prayer Book of Bonne de Luxembourg, attributed to Jean le Noir, c.1349, for instance, looks like a vulva because you're trying to tell the world that you enjoy Catholic art and imagery in an alternative, queer, risquĂŠ way that challenges Christian beliefs. But what you don't know is that that stigma isnât just a vulva. It's not just a mandorla. It's not just yonic. It's actually intentionally erotic. And you're also blithely unaware of the fact that around 1297, Saint Angela of Foligno experienced a vision of Christ himself, who called her to put her mouth to the wound in his side and lick the freshly flowing blood. And then I think it was Saint Catherine of Siena who drank blood and a clear liquid from the wound before receiving a ring made from Christâs foreskin? And then graphically erotic encounters with the side wound of Christ quickly showed up in the writings of eight different mystics. And then the yonic interpretation of the stigmata filtered down through the illuminated manuscripts and then trickled on down into some pseudo-intellectual corner of the internetâŚwhere you, no doubt, fished it out of some Pinterest board. However, that interpretation represents hundreds of years and countless visions of religious ecstasy. And it's sort of comical how you think that you've come up with an idea that exempts you from Christian theology when, in factâŚyou're posting an image that was sexualized for you by the very Medieval saints you think youâre so different thanâŚfrom âsubvertedâ Catholic art.
hey if ur a queer christian blog or a christian witch blog or a progressive christian blog can u rb this
Happy feast day to St Julian of Norwich (yes ik sheâs only canonized in the Anglican Church I donât care sheâs a canonized saint to me the anglicans got this one right) the best anchoress to ever live
- Penned the famous all shall be well and all shall be well and all manner of things shall be well line
- Wrote about a Christ who willingly chooses to become permanently disabled out of love for humanity and how this elevates the honor and dignity of the disabled body
- Lowkey a universalist?? She hedges it by going âof course disclaimer here I agree with the churchâ but fully espouses a theology in which all shall be saved and all shall be restored to Christ and thus all shall be well
- Had a cat
- Gave us gems like the world is a hazelnut
- Apparently cast Satan out of her anchorhold âthe power of Christ compels youâ style
- Was a renowned teacher and frequently sought after for advice in her community and by pilgrims including the famous Margery Kempe
- Seriously go read revelations of divine love/the shewings of Julian of Norwich itâs so good it changed my relationship with religion
She also spoke of God as a mother!
SHE ALSO SPOKE OF GOD AS A MOTHER

#HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY
"From at least the time she was a teenager, [Marsha P] Johnson had a relationship with God that was personal, profound and more than a little mysterious. 'I got married to Jesus Christ in church when I was 16 years old,' she said in an interview for the documentary about her life âPay It No Mind.â
'Heâs the only man I can really trust. Heâs like a spirit that follows me around âŚhe helps me out in my hours of need and listens to all my problems and never laughs at me. He takes me very seriously,' she said.
When deciding to move from her childhood home in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to New York City in 1963, at age 17, she remembers talking to Jesus about her desire. 'He said, âYou know, you might wind up with nothing,'' she remembers. And yet, rather than frighten her, Christâs words fortified her conviction: 'I said, âHoney, I donât care if I never have nothing ever till the day I die. All I want is my freedomâŚ.And thatâs how Iâve been living here ever since I came.'
In âPay It No Mind,â many of Johnsonâs friends share stories of her religious devotions. She would light candles and pray at St. Maryâs Catholic Church in Hoboken, New Jersey, and lie prostrate praying in front of a statue of the Virgin Mary early in the morning in another church. At home, she had an altar devoted to the saints; she said they help show 'that weâre all brothers and sisters in Christ.'
Though she was raised in an African Methodist Episcopal Church, Johnson frequented churches of other denominations and religious buildings of other faiths, too. In some of these stories you can hear her hunger for and devotion to God. For instance, she would refuse to face the altar when praying in church at times, out of respect for its significance.
But there also a sense of overflowing joy and celebration. 'I would find her in the strangest churches,' remembered her friend Sasha McCaffrey. 'Sheâd be wearing velvet and throwing glitter.' Like so many of our Catholic saints, her faith seemed both the bedrock of her life and a place of revelation, something that helped other people to experience Godâs love." [x] [x]
Today and always, Marsha P. Johnson, Saint of Christopher Street, and Madonna di Montevergine, pray for us. Christ, the Mother Pelican, save us and keep us. Have a blessed Transgender Day of Visibility
