Cats has ruined my ability to socialize like a normal person.
Every time someone in my family brings up movies, I feel compelled to turn the conversation towards Cats because NO they DO NOT understand the existential horror of viewing this film, and YES they SHOULD drop everything and watch it IMMEDIATELY.
At the end of the CATS movie I turned to my partner and said, "I can't believe we paid actual money for that," and a couple in the back of the theatre started laughing.
CATS truly brings people together. It’s the film the world needs.
CATS is blursed
I saw CATS with my partner yesterday. I don’t know if I have the words to describe it yet; I barely even remember what happened. All I know is that we spent the entire time doing one of two things:
Breaking down in hysterical laughter
Recoiling from the screen in utter horror
It's a girl-spoon-girl world
Ciconia is gay as heck and I’m so, so here for it
The greatest ship of all time is Rouxls Kaard (Deltarune) & Gohda (Umineko no nacu koro ni).
At first, it seems awful. These characters are from two completely different franchises. They have completely different art styles. They aren’t even the same species.
Then you start to think about it, and slowly, it starts to make sense. Their personalities compliment one another perfectly. Both of them are dramatic fools that care far, far too much about their jobs. They are both the constant butt of jokes in their respective narratives. Neither of them truly develops as a character, both content to exist solely as the comedy relief that is very sensitive about their choice of career.
You lie awake at night, consumed with the thought of Gohda wrapping his muscular arms around Rouxls in a tender embrace, as they swap puzzles and recipes with each other.
You try to break free, but it is too late.
You have become one of us.
Gohdaard forever.
Someone once complimented me on the diversity of a story. I was confused, until I realized that there were zero cishet characters.Â
I wasn’t intentionally avoiding writing them, I just sort of... forgot?
Am I the only one who does that?
Christmas Horror Movie Pitch
”Santa is a demon, and I can prove it.” Billy takes they take a pile of letter-shaped Christmas cookies and sets them on the carpet to spell out Santa’s name.
He begins to switch the letters around. The music swells. Jump cut to each of his friends, their faces growing increasingly horrified, and they lean in.
“No way,” his romantic interest whispers.
“Way. That’s the way the cookie crumbles,” Billy murmurs, a grim smile on his face.
We slowly pan down to the pile of cookies. The letters are all still present, but they have been rearranged, and now spell out an entirely new word, one that sends a chill down the spines of both the characters and the audience.
“That’s right,” Billy says. “Santa isn’t a Santa at all... he’s actually A Satan.”
