A and B are dating and also part of a close-knit friend group. A works at a pharmacy, and is always getting exposed to germs, but they are a very polite and conscientious sick person and generally avoid spreading their germs to other people. However, the group still always groans and stocks up on vitamin when they see A start to sniffle, because the exception to that rule is B (they can't keep their hands off each other for love or money!). Inevitably, whenever A gets a cold, B gets the same one a few days later, and B is a terrible germ-spreader, always forgetting to cover their sneezes, or rubbing their nose and picking up/touching everything, and they're very touchy-feely as a rule - so A's hard work is always undone and the whole group comes down with the thing.

It's not "in" the "book" but you know you want to include a vignette in some of montage showcasing what it's like for Shane and Ilya on different teams as follows:
LOCATION: ANONYMOUS HOTEL ROOM (OR WHATEVER)
Open on SHANE and ILYA having HOT SEX. They are enjoying themselves when suddenly ILYA breaks off from what he is doing to lean away from SHANE and sneeze into the open. ILYA wipes his nose on his arm, SHANE teases him about being gross or something similar, they begin to BICKER FLIRTATIOUSLY and they're right back to it.
CUT TO: CENS LOCKER ROOM.
Scene opens with ILYA mid-sneeze. Camera pans up and he looks WORSE FOR WEAR. He is clearly sick, sitting in his locker seat with a PILE OF USED TISSUES. Various CENS PLAYERS come by and offer a bit of comfort; they mention home remedies, commiserate about when they've been sick, or tell him to rest up. It is made subtly clear that at least a few of them CARE ABOUT ILYA AS A PERSON.
CUT TO: VOYAGERS LOCKER ROOM
Scene opens with SHANE sitting back in his locker, stifling a sneeze. VARIOUS VOYAGERS PLAYERS pick up on it, telling him he should get well soon, they need him against INSERT OTHER TEAM. It is clear that they value him PRIMARILY FOR HIS TALENT AND SUCCESS.
And then IDK maybe you could likeeeee, show us a little bit of their sad little routines sick at home by themselves and how it sucks that they can't be together. Maybe a little FaceTime?

One thing that will always be famous to me is Swedish hockey player Nic.klas Backs.trom forced to sit out of game at the 2014 Olympics due to a banned substance in allergy medication.
He said "I have absolutely nothing to hide. I've had allergy problems for several years."
Wouldn't it be terrible if this happened to a fictional hockey player?
Or worse, what if a fictional hockey player abruptly had to stop taking allergy medication at the Olympics because the doctor realized at the last minute that a component was banned? I would hate that.
📯🦵: Especially because S/hane is polite and Canadian lol or or or!!! Hear me out they are on a family vacation and I/lyas allergies are insane and Yuna and David keeps blessing him and S/hane is fidgeting so hard he has to excuse himself and I/lya eventually follows him to the bathroom 😏
Ohh anon your brain is so amazing! I think it’s such a good idea, I can literally see it, maybe even Y/una and D/avid are confused because S/hane is usually so polite and nice to people, and it’s I/lya who has sneezed about 20 times in 5 minutes and S/hane hadn’t blessed him ONCE!
But S/hane is also literally red in the face and blushing and trying to act very casual as I/lya stifles another double into his shoulder
Okay this wouldn't leave me alone. May I present, fresh off the keyboard, 0% proofread, my first fic in a decade (1/probably 2):
The four of them are having breakfast at a cafe on Yuna's list to try, just a few blocks from their hotel. Ilya angles himself away from Yuna and David again, aiming over his right shoulder. "hh'NNtsch! ngxt!" A quivery inhale, then his customary third. "ahh?-kNGTch'huhh!"
By Shane's count, that makes seven since they were seated three minutes ago. Ilya had been fine the first couple days they'd been here, but something must have bloomed, or maybe the direction of the wind had changed, because the sneezing started yesterday afternoon and hasn't stopped since.
"Bless you!" Yuna says, David a half second behind.
"Spasibo," Ilya murmurs, then sniffles wetly and roughly scrubs at his nose with a loose fist. Shane, sitting shoulder to shoulder with his boyfriend, is close enough to hear the resulting squelches and clicks. His open hand on Ilya's thigh clenches into a fist and his face feels hot. His mom is giving him a Look, clearly expecting Shane to chime in, but he can't. He can barely bless Ilya when it's just the two of them. In public? In front of his parents? Jesus Christ.
"Honey, are you sure you're all right?" Yuna asks, expression concerned.
"Is just allergies," Ilya says dismissively, "I will be fine. Shane takes good care of me." He starts to flash Shane a slightly wicked smile, but in what feels like slow motion to Shane, Ilya's gaze turns hazy, his lips part, and he pitches forward towards Shane.
"hhdjsschmpf!" It's not so much stifled as much as muffled into Shane's shoulder, which tells Shane that this sneeze was stronger than Ilya had expected. "ehh'TSCHHxtt!" A pause, a few hitching breaths. Shane's quads start quivering without his permission. "hhh? hhah! aHHh-! ...nngt'kTSCH-kNTschh-zZCHhhiew! " The force of them resonates through Shane's body and he can feel the effort Ilya's putting in to partially suppress them.
Ilya presses his face into Shane's trap, mouth moving in what Shane guesses is an unvoiced "fuck me," before he straightens with a few damp sniffs. Shane clenches and unclenches his toes inside his sneakers.
"God bless you!" Yuna says, stressing the 'bless,' and overlapping with David's plain but no less heartfelt, "Bless you." Shane, meanwhile, digs a couple tissues from his pockets and puts them into Ilya's hand (because if he knows his boyfriend -- and he does -- Ilya doesn't have any). At least he can do that without spontaneously combusting, as long as he stares at the table the whole time.
The sound of Ilya softly blowing his nose tips Shane's restless energy over the edge and he stands without thinking.
"Uh, excuse me," he blurts, face probably on fire, and makes for the bathroom.
shane & ilya at at interview. rivals. hot mics. and they’re BOTH having an allergic reaction to the same thing. on camera. and they’re both secretly in a competition about who can show symptoms less. the one who breaks first has to admit that the flowers on set are bothering them.
It doesn’t help that C/ onner seems to always have a twitchy nose or an itchy nose and I feel like that adds to I/lyas charm, he touches his nose a lot or wrinkles it
I love how rubbing his nose is I/lya’s tell. It’s adorable and I wonder if that was done on purpose

I've been seeing a lot of Fandom Trumps Hate content on my normal blog dash, and I was thinking that it's too bad that I couldn't bid for sneeze fetish stuff without being weird/unethical.
I am not an artist or writer, but we have a lot of amazing artists/writers on snz fetish tumber, and I can do admin, so I thought I'd see if anyone was interested in participating in something like this on tumblr.
What would it be like?
I'd follow a similar plan to FTH using their playbook; artists/writers would sign up on a google form or similar. (I have a sneeze-fetish-specific gmail account that I've maintained for many years in order to sign up for websites like tumblr) Unlike FTH, I would let artists/writers select their own nonprofit(s)/mutual aid org(s), but would in rare cases veto an org if it was unethical/right-wing. Then, I'd set up bidding via another form, using FTH model forf automatically-updating spreadsheets. and follow up with everyone after the auctions closed. I would require that participants include their URLs and that they also include age info in tumblr bio. I would check this for artists/writers/winners.
