♦ Mun ♦ Meet Ayako ♦ WIP: Verses ♦ (MonHun, Modern, Fantasy, Elden Ring, Fae-yako)
📚 Ayako's the one writing out all the documents explaining in detail how and why to craft all those consumables no-one uses.
📚 Okay, we're ready to be alive again! From tomorrow. All my verses are ready; > Standard (Modern day fantasy) > Monster Hunter (The game) > Elden Ring > Fae-yako (Modern day/Fantasy/Maasverse) I'll elaborate on any and all of these.
Only Varré in my brain these days
📚 Hi everyone! Huge thank you to all the new follows, you're all welcome here. And to the old ones, I haven't forgotten about you!
I'm currently very weighed down by work irl so I haven't had a lot of active time, but I'm hoping once April is over I'll have more space to breathe.
Replies will be slow but my dms are open to plots and discussions, and I'll interact with pretty much anyone, just give me a poke. 📖

unwritten-curiosities:
“Weeeell.. Noooo, I suppose not.” Ayako responded thoughtfully with a tilt of her head, trying to look an innocent as possible. She was innocent, why was she even trying?
“Oh, usually things that try to kill me, mainly. Plants that spit poison, mushrooms with toxic spores, and dragons!” She offered the man a smile. “The ‘Erdtree?’ The big golden one, out there? Why is it off limits?” A harmless question, she figured.
“Either you wish to play the innocent fool. Or you are truly a outsider with no ill means.”
He is, looming over the other, no action taken. But golden eyes look down, its hard to not look down. Despite being the scholar of the family, he is strong bodied, tall twice the size of man. It is hard to not look up at Rykard, literally.
“If you wish for knowledge…”
His voice, becomes something close to a hiss, as he leans close…
“Go to Raya Lacaria academy. Surely your curiosity , would be sated there.”
The sheer size of the man was unnerving to say the least, but the scholar was used to being in someone else's shadow. She wasn't exactly a big thing herself. Leaning back slightly in response to his advance, green eyes never strayed from gold as her lips betrayed a nervous breath.
"Raya Lacaria academy?" Ayako echoed, brows perking in curiousity at the name. A tentative little smile tugged at her lips and she gave a small nod of gratitude. "I'll do that. Thank you." She didn't move, and wouldn't until the man moved away from her.

"Pucker up, shorty."

unwritten-curiosities:
With her brow still furrowed somewhat, the hunter pursed her lips in consideration of the words and begrudgingly accepted it as a fair reason to be suspicious. Her expression softened, brows perking upwards slightly as her eyes reflected pride. “I’m a researcher! But not of anything er.. Political. Just of flora and fauna mostly. I travel a lot with that as my main focus, that’s all. Wholly independent, I promise.” Ayako smiled as she explained herself, more than happy to elaborate further as she slid a heavy bag off her shoulder. “I can show you, if you want?”
“So you have no one to collaborate your presence here.” He observes, perhaps cruelly, but the royal library is not a place one can simply enter without much cautioun. After all there were many places to be that a simple researcher could go to.
His eyes sharpen a bit.
“And what, exactly is the flora you are studying? It is against the rules, to study the Erdtree.”
"Weeeell.. Noooo, I suppose not." Ayako responded thoughtfully with a tilt of her head, trying to look an innocent as possible. She was innocent, why was she even trying?
"Oh, usually things that try to kill me, mainly. Plants that spit poison, mushrooms with toxic spores, and dragons!" She offered the man a smile. "The 'Erdtree?' The big golden one, out there? Why is it off limits?" A harmless question, she figured.
"Hey, am I good to camp here for the night? It's literally the only cave for miles and you don't even sleep like.... ever." A fully-armoured Ayako peeked into the cave and slung a heavy bag onto the ground. "And are you still alive after the cow incident? I should've asked that first probably.."
Zechiel grumbles to himself as he considers housing the woman under his perfectly niched cavern. Another person would throw off the temperature. Probably a good enough reason.
The challenger grumbles louder as he recalls Rainer's advice:
"Be more acceptin'! Someone comes knockin', just answer- tha's'all I'm askin!"
"I'm... fine now...." He responds, preparing himself for what he must do.
"....Yeah. Stay the night if you want. Like I care."
Nailed it.
Ayako stood in silence, as still as she possibly could while she watched Zechiel grumble to himself. Frankly, she way proud of herself for not laughing at just how stubborn this dragon was. When he conceded she held back any urge to tease him, but also wasn't about to question his decision and give him the chance to change his mind.
"Shall I juuust go over here then?" Picking up her bag as she spoke, the hunter made her way to the emptiest part she could find. "Oh don't look so grumpy about it, it's just one night! Then you won't have to see me again for the foreseeable future. Fair trade?"
Zechiel grunted, walking further into the cave to find a nice laying-rock. Been a while since he's had a nap- maybe while having a guest would be a good time. After all, sleeping in rooms together was a common human thing- it'd be rude not to.
"One night. Wherever is fine with me."
"Have you ever considered getting some real furniture?" Ayako asked almost absent-mindedly as she removed her chest armour, choosing to stay in her underclothes now it was a relatively safe area to be in. She rummaged through her bag to dig out a warmer shirt to hopefully prevent herself freezing in this lizard's home. "You know, make it a little cozier for whenever you have company?"
Sat at a more secluded part of the café, almost curled up with a book clutched open in both hands and a cold, half cup of coffee on the table, Ayako wept softly to herself. A napkin was balled up in her fist, and she tried hard to prevent making too many audible whimpering noises- Not that she succeeded very well.
Inhaling a deep breath, the bookworm turned the page of her novel and hoped things got better soon. Maybe she was a little too attached to this one fictional character, but having them killed off like that was just too much for her to bear.
× Ah, I believe I’ve skimmed this one before. You needn't worry, your heroine comes back within the next chapter.
The doctor peered over her shoulder, oblivious to the concept of personal space and or personal boundaries of any conceptual idea.
The bookworm shrieked in surprise at the sudden reply, certain there was no-one else nearby. Her panic soon subsided into bitter loathing when the words he said processed in her brain. Grabbing a butter knife off the table, she brought it to the Doctor's mask without her expression shifting in the slightest.
unwritten-curiosities:
Emerald eyes scanned across the man’s clothes when he neared, a furrow in her brow at his tone of voice. The small scowl of disapproval remained in her features as she turned to look back up at his face.
“Really?” Disbelief was evident in her voice. Ayako didn’t seem particularly aggressive about it, but it didn’t sound as though she was ready to grovel for mercy either. “No damage had been done- I’d arrest myself if I ever defaced a book!”
“It is less, of the books and more of your presence.”
“We do not need spies within our country, we get them plenty enough.” His argument is sound, if a bit stubborn in how he said it. Though he could simply cart people into the depths below. he would rather deal with it now.
“Now, what is your true purpose here.”
With her brow still furrowed somewhat, the hunter pursed her lips in consideration of the words and begrudgingly accepted it as a fair reason to be suspicious. Her expression softened, brows perking upwards slightly as her eyes reflected pride. "I'm a researcher! But not of anything er.. Political. Just of flora and fauna mostly. @unwritten-curiosities
As she made these impossible shapes with impossible dimensions, she was aware of her shadow of course. She knew when she was observed as much as when she was ignored. After all, creation was her. And she mostly had full awareness of it's denizens. "Sweetheart it's impolite to stare." She chimed with a soft chuckled that energy buzzing in the air for a moment as those constructs disappeared.
To prevent damage to this universe, she dematerialized and rematerialized standing up. After all, reality seemed to groan in defiance when she did little more than tilt her head.
Ayako pressed her lips together to hold back any noise when she was addressed, a guilty expression already on her face. Inhaling a breath to calm herself before speaking with her voice nearly a whisper, the hunter did not move from where she sat beside the tree.
"I'm.. I know, I'm sorry. I've just never seen anything like that before. I was trying to figure it out." She hesitated a moment and grumbled out a small sound of shame at herself. "I suppose the best way is to ask, but it's very hard to tell who's happy to talk and who wants to break my jaw these days.."
