‘‘Mormonism, a typically American Religion with very close ties to Christianity. Mormon 'Elders' as they are known are typically young adults/teenagers who are assigned to a Latter Day Saints church overseas to spread to word of Jesus Christ. Their missionary lasts three years with absolutely no contact to their parents or friends back home. Elders are grouped in pairs and must not leave their partners company for the duration of their missionary. I took time to interview and spend time with Elder Ross and Elder Shumway based in the Latter Day Saints Church in Cheltenham who are both from the United States of America, and to find out what appeals them to Mormonism, one of the most growing religion in the United States.’’

Strangers

"This body of work is an effort of capturing the raw emotions of people upon the streets. Them small moments in the day in which your guard drops and that facade you put on as you walk out the door in the morning disappears."

New Towns built to sustain the ever-growing population of the United Kingdom.

‘‘This body of work is a documentation of the different architecture and how people interact with the landscape within Milton Keynes, the largest of the new towns built in the 60s/70s. It documents the monotonous repetition of functional housing and first works of major architects such as; Jeremy Dixon, Edward Jones, Norman Foster, Richard MacCormac and Thomas Heatherwick.’’

Live Action Role Play enables individuals to escape everyday life by creating a reality of their own. "I started as a basic character with knowledge of where I had come from and how I met my comrades, but you really develop in game through conversation and how your character responds to the environment. I'm from Navarr, which has been invaded by poisonous vines, and therefore have to travel. The nomad style suits me and I feel has one of the more flexible costume bases. I've only been to a few LARPs so my character is still expanding, it's like reading further into a book." "LARP is like a holiday for me, where I can get away from being me for a few days. It's pretty liberating so I wouldn't want it bleeding into my 'real' life."

‘‘Burning barrel's soaked in tar at the annual Ottery St Mary tar barrel festival on November 5, 2015 in Ottery St. Mary, England. The tradition, which is over 400 years old, sees competitors (who must have been born in the town to take part) running with burning barrels on their backs through the village, until the heat becomes too unbearable or the barrel breaks down, starting with junior barrels carried by children and continuing all evening with ever larger and larger barrels. The event, which has been threatened with closure on previous years due to increasing public liability insurance costs, raises thousands of pounds for charity and attracts spectators from around the world.’’

‘‘Scale is an afterthought of many beautiful landscape photographs, the image cannot depict the sheer enormity of the pictured landscape, and if it does so it is often not noticed immediately and only when a recognisable object from the man made world, or humans themselves, are spotted. When in actuality, in the presence of the landscape the scale is completely overwhelming and undoubtedly the first impression of the location. To simulate a more accurate feeling of being absorbed by the grand size of a landscape, we must first notice the scale.’’

“Following my work on the General Election 2015, I looked to follow the publics reaction. Not long after the election there was a mass protest against Austerity, I travelled to London to capture the protest unravel into chaos directly in front of Parliament.”

“The Romería de El Rocío is a famous pilgrimage that takes place 50 days after Easter in the Province of Huelva, when thousands of people make their way to the Blanca Paloma Shrine in the village of El Rocío.I was lucky enough to find myself stuck in the middle of one of the groups making the pilgrimage whilst visiting Seville and managed to grab a few shots of the crowd as they paraded past.”

“Recently I’ve not been taking photos very often at all. I wanted to try and refresh myself with something that i really love. Ive always adored the night sky. it takes my breath away everytime i look up, and its something i really want to capture and share. This was my first pursuit into a very basic level of Astrophotography, but hope that i'll be able to share some more pictures very soon!”

“This summer I continued my project following a Buckinghamshire based Explorer Scout group. This would be my third year documenting their travels around the UK. This year the group travelled to Jersey, where I documented the people who made this trip possible.”

“Over the summer I have been commissioned by the Gloucestershire Rural Community Council to document a number of their projects throughout the county for their annual review. The first project I covered was the Lower Swell Lunch Club, arranged by Maureen Griffiths provides a monthly lunch for the local community at the local Village Hall.”

The World Bog Snorkelling Championship in Llanwrtyd Wells, Powys, Wales UK. Competitors from around the world line up and dress up to snorkel a bog in Wales. World Bog snorkelling Championships, conceived 30 years ago in a Welsh pub by landlord Gordon Green, are held every August Bank Holiday at Waen Rhydd Bog. Using unconventional swimming strokes, participants swim two lengths of a 55 metre trench cut through a peat bog wearing snorkel and flippers.

“Working with a local paper has further drawn my interests into politics and it would appear just at the right time. Intent to learn more I gained access to photograph the Cheltenham Count 2015. I found myself drawn to the rivalry between Liberal Democrat Martin Horwood and his fresh Conservative competition, Alex Chalk. History has been made from this specific count, Cheltenham Town has seen its first change in power for what has now been a decade and the weight now lays firmly on Alex Chalk’s shoulders. I will follow the political issues which arise over the town as the Conservative party come into play."

‘‘Through this project I documented my Grandad who has been suffering with Dementia for almost 3 years. It is becoming progressively worse through his memory and physical appearance. I wanted to capture the sadness but also the positivity from the help he gets around him. It's a personal subject that I wanted to document and share as there are so many people who also suffer with dementia who can relate to this project. I've photographed my Grandad in personal aspects, capturing his facial expressions and him in his home environment. ‘’
