Muneuji's little sister is called "Princess" as a nickname. I keep this nickname translated instead of calling her "Hime" due to the whole Princess Kaguya thing.

The story of Princess Kaguya is pretty relevant to this story + Muneuji as a whole, so I’ll put a summary of it here. (Sorry that it’s kinda long, I was trying to include every detail relevant to Muneuji.) You can choose to read this before or after the event!
Princess Kaguya was found as a baby in a piece of bamboo. After being taken in by a bamboo cutter, she grew into a beautiful woman who brought luck and radiated light. She was sought after by many, even catching the eyes of the Emperor. She could often be seen staring longingly at the Moon with eyes full of tears. Her behavior becomes increasingly erratic, and when asked what was wrong, she reveals that she is not from Earth and is actually a princess from the Moon. It has been said she was sent to Earth as a punishment for an unknown reason. (There is another version where she purposefully broke the rules on the Moon to be sent to the Earth in order to experience mortal life, but formed attachments and did not want to say goodbye afterwards). After Kaguya expresses a desire to leave the Earth, the Moon grants her request and she is set to leave the next Moon cycle. The emperor sent guards in order to keep her from leaving, but an embassy of heavenly beings came to take her anyway. She announces that although she loves her friends, she must return to the Moon, and she leaves sorrowful notes for her adoptive parents and the Emperor. She also leaves her robes with her parents. The distraught Emperor writes her a letter which he burns at the top of the tallest mountain to send a message to her.
I am playing as the male MC and will be referring to him by his canon name, Kaede Hamasaki. I will also be using he/him pronouns. The story stays the same regardless of which protagonist you choose!
I’m not fluent in Japanese, this is not proofread, and I’ll probably make some edits here and there if I want to change anything.
