Just want… Izuku lowered his hands slowly back to his sides. He wasn’t the most kinetic person my nature, and was generally good at not touching people if they didn’t want to be touched, but there was something about Uraraka wiping her eyes like that, hiding her face, that made him… he wasn’t sure how to put it. But it bothered him that he wasn’t able to offer anything really by way of comforting gesture…
But he could smile for her. Hadn’t he learned that from All Might?
With a smile, he nodded, saying, “Sure, sure, whatever you need. Just let me know… okay?” At least he could reamp the enthusiasm from previously, though! He waved for her to follow him, saying, “So right, the fields! I figure we can try a few different things- oh, who got your quirk? We should find them. We can make kickballs float at different distances and project them into different surfaces and see how far I can hear and to what degree of impact- oh, and if I can tell the difference between materials from sound! That’d make a lot of sense, right? Hmm, and I wonder if-”
Uraraka, if you wanted any form of distraction from your quirk, just listen to him mumble. Maybe not the most practical quirk for him in particular, but it was definitely fascinating-!
For a moment, dark eyes fixated themselves on the smile he gave to her. It was soothing, like a balm, and she felt herself grow calm by the sight of it. Midoriya had always been someone she found herself in awe over. From the moment he arrived there was just ━━ a spark, a light, that emanated from within him; and whether or not it was his intention, Uraraka found herself inspired ━━ wanting to emulate his actions, hoping that one day she too could smile and instill the same emotions to someone else.
Even without her quirk, she felt light ━━ falling into step beside the other as they made their way towards the field. The question, while one of many, elicited an expression of surprise; she had never considered that despite being given (or forced) to have a new quirk, someone else might inherit her's instead.
“ Oh no! I didn't even think of that... Someone could be struggling to keep themselves grounded at this very moment... ” her head turned, angled upwards in an effort to spot anyone that could potentially be floating away ━━ only half listening as his voice dipped to a mumble; the onslaught of inner thoughts one that she had grown used to, and a pleasant distraction while she searched.
“ ... Wait, does this mean that someone has your quirk too? ”
