I am enjoying my least favorite character, Marius, having my least favorite haircut, that fuckass ceasar cut.
For the marius lovers: Marius is my least favorite character because he is written so well. Never has a character with all the traits I hate in people come so alive on the page.
i struggle with this season so much bc it has good bits and it has bits that seem to be going for something but the execution is just not great and the whole thing isn’t very coherent and tbh not enough screentime is actually spent on adapting the book and it’s just very frustrating bc the first two seasons were extremely well crafted

Lol I forgot about the body thief. I was thinking of Merrick. If you dont like Anne Rice’s writing your DEFINITELY not going to like that book. But it ls worth looking at spoilers for it if you want to know what you guessed correctly. Or i can tell you if you want.

There is a dark comedy in how the misogyny in the writing of the show so closely mirrors Anne Rice’s misogyny in the books.
The comedy is that I’m not sure if they are doing it on purpose.
Hirono reminds me of Heero SO much. Its the combination of youth, adventurousness, melancholy, and loneliness.

The fandom is particularly annoying this season. I didn’t think it was possible for people to be more condescending in this fandom, but color me surprised.

If you hate TVL, cool. Tell us why this season which is VERY different from the previous seasons isnt hitting the same.
Its got literally nothing to do with whether or not people read the books or understood the books (because frankly Im side eyeing all of y’all that claim to be the one true scholars of the books). Its just a matter of taste and what folks are looking for from this series.
I’m bummed they killed David Talbot offscreen. I would have loved to watch his demise.
