Please share and tag your plant friends! Original art and design by @urbanplantsman using a stippling brush in @procreateapp - have a great week!
Anthurium magnificum has been a source of inspiration for me, I mean the leaves alone are actual living art! I then decided to add a monochromatic background for contrast. Let me know what you think and please share! On a side note, this week flew by!
Never too late for a shelfie on Snake Plant Sunday featuring a few of my favorite varieties! The more time I put into my content, the better I become and the more I grow! Iām a big fan of the terracotta and green combo, which I showcased with this color palette. I hope everyone had a great weekend! Stay positive!
āA Monstera Monday Afternoon in Bostonā ... I started drawing this on the plane last week and finished it out this weekend! Let me know what you think and please share! Have a great week everyone!
Saturday or Cat-urday? Iāve been seeing a lot of plant and cat posts lately and it inspired me to make this little sketch animation this morning. Try to channel the mood of this cat this weekend and relax and enjoy yourself!
Wax Plant Wednesday featuring an animated Hoya carnosa compacta, modeled after the one in my collection! More plant art to get you through the week! Happy St Patrickās Day! Follow @urbanplantsman for more plant content!šŖ“
Monstera Monday featuring my all time favorite plant - Monstera dubia, digitally recreated in my art style! This plant is a shingling plant and the leaves grow around whatever it is attached to with its aerial roots. Luckily, Iāve successfully propagating mine so I can grow more and continue to draw inspiration from it!
How can you incorporate your 2D digital creations into the 3D world? MAKE STICKERS! Featured is my āBlue Monsteraā logo! Stick them on cover pots or give them to friends! The plant centered is Alocasia āBlack Velvet.ā
Some plants are just āunbeleafableā - in fact Iād argue all plants are, but for Waxplant Wednesday I wanted to focus on Hoyas, specifically callistophylla. Iām obsessed with the leaf pattern and itās the next hoya on my wishlist, so I thought Iād draw it up!
Happy Trailing Things Thursday with a few of my favorite plants! I worked on highlights and shadows when drawing this, using primarily the ink bleed brush!
Happy Monstera Monday with more digital plant art! Working on shading techniques and lighting currently.
āGloomy Monsteraā in Vintage Pokemon Style - I love plants, PokĆ©mon and art. Why not combine them all?!
Feelinā Funky this Friday so I drew some Foliage of my Favorite Philodendron - say that five times fast

Featured is Philodendron Mayoi āTahitiā one of the first plants I bought for my apartment when I moved to Boston, which now vines out over 5 feet long!

I used the Ink Bleed Inking Brush in Procreate for majority of this piece. I decided to add an abstract backdrop to make the green and orange leaves pop. Iām still working on lighting/shading techniques, but Iāll get it down eventually!

Slowly learning Procreate, but Iām liking it so far!
Let me know what you think!
