Life can push us around like a big bully. And we really do forget to stop and walk in beautiful gardens, smell flowers, and breathe in the fresh air. This spring, my styling has been simpler than ever before, but I still add in little surprises here and there to make the look my own. That’s my new wave and it feels so good!

All white summer

This was taken in Saint James Parish neighborhood in Jamaica. Shout out to my sister who was my photographer and did a great job! The white skater dress was purchased on Tobi.com and the shoes are from Aldo. I always stock my closet with a ton of white pieces for the summer and you should  too :)

Traveling in style No matter how long your journey is, here are some tips to keep you traveling in style… 1. Wear a comfortable pants –comfortable, but not basic. 2. Wear layers on top –you never know whether you are going to be freezing or sweating on your flight. I wear a tee shirt or long sleeve tee with a cardi/light jacket. This prepares me for any scenario while on the plane and when I arrive! PS: I was 90 degrees when I arrived, so I took my cardi and tee off. 3. Slip on shoes is a must! I try to wear socks to keep my bare feet off the airport security floor. 4. A scarf as an emergency blanket There’s often a lot of down time when traveling. One of my favorite pastimes is reading or playing games with my travel buddies. Cheers!

Spring is here!

One of my favorite things about spring is the color. It inspires me to pack away my monochrome wardrobe and wear brighter pieces. I love being able to shed layers and keep the looks simple and clean. Above is an example of one of my favorite piece to bring me into spring:

Tuxedo dress inspired blazer

 Sometimes it takes that extra touch to complete an outfit. Have you ever tried something on, looked in the mirror, and said to yourself, “Hmm this needs something…” I do this all the time and figuring out what that extra touch might be is sometimes tricky. It can be throwing on a hat or in this case a green cross-body bag did the trick!
