Week 4 Drawing
The earliest drawing was found on the walls, caves in France and Spain. Other examples that were scratched carved, or painted on the surfaces of primitive tools. The purpose of drawing for the artist is to clear minds and organizes their ideas to create art. My reflections on the reading of drawing has too many techniques the artist used for example used the two-dimensional, pastel or oil pastel, the charcoal the artist used prevent further accident smudging for example in a self. -profit on (p. 203). The most common in fifty century and sixteen centuries were silverpoint which consist of paper coated with some medium such as white color or rabbit skin glue and mixt with bone dust.
William Kentridge is a man who know for his animation drawings and used camera motion to his work. Williams Kenbridge is a man who knows how to do art and how to works with art he gets involved with a creation from puppets, sculpture, live performances, sculptures, works with opera, recording music to be able to make his works of art. William kentridge is a contemporary artist today Also, what like is the he has the talent to help others to become more people involve in art.
What surprised you in this week's content? The artist in how he uses his techniques the graphite. Also, how the artists use reality put on piece of paper. In additional the artists used objects like nature, dead animals, plants, rocks, shell, persons, drinking glass, books, vases, jewelry, coins, etc. however there too many techniques of drawing I just mention some of them because I don’t have the knowledge to describe each of methods because read some methods but I don’t have experience of the artist used of drawing.
What artworks did you strongly like or dislike and why? I like the graphite, I like the pastel work art the Cityscapes by Tom Matt he uses different techniques. Also, he uses the nature to create art. In additional he also is related with other artist by his oil board “Morgan and Edgar Degas After the Bath there both are using women to create art Edgar Degas in pastel on paper and Tom Matt in oil on board.
How does this relate to your life and interests? I like the graphite because like to enjoy see what means to the person what is project to the people.
Has your opinion or understanding of art changed at all? How? Well on point of view art is an expression of feelings. Also changed myself how see art is sharing the way knowledge to the world how to draw, the forms the gestural, the graphic what they use on draw in some is draws is personal. Additionally, the art expresses the feeling of draw of the person who draw the picture.
How does this relate to your life and interests? Well I don’t draw but like observe the art I like what the art project the people do. Its interested how people create a beautiful drawing with different techniques. One is simple technique with paper and pencil and imagination.
