Even the brightest stars had wished to be with other stars. His face continued to grow red with the small kisses on his hands. These sort of things were so, weird, but he wasâŠloving it. His heart was pounding so hard and loud, it started to make him dizzy. And it started to show on his face. Never did he once have a feeling like this. Probably, the closest person was to Sinbad, but never did he make his heart feel so warm and welcomed.
Ja'far read in a scroll once that if you canât explain your thoughts, put them into action. The compliments were starting to make his head spin even more. However, he seemed unmoved, only smiling as wide as his face could pull his lips apart and move the muscles into formation.
âYouâre wrong. You shouldnât say such things like that.â His voice softened. âI wish for a promise.â There was still so much about Koumei he didnât know, and in a way, he was scared to marry a man of both Kou royalty and knowing so little. Hopefully, this would be alright to the other, Hands fumbled and danced around themselves for a moment. âA promise that one day, we will. Iâm not sure how your brothers would feel about this, and I donât know how the Generals and Sin would feel about this so.â Well, they didnât have to get married right off the bat. They could get engaged, and continue to adore and love each other from the sidelines, right?
âWhat is the Kou tradition of proposing, Meiâ? Koumei.â Wait, when did that happen? That little slipâ.
Koumei glanced up to his blush, finding his own face bright with a flush as well, but he was just so⊠So in love, and so happy, he couldnât help but blush, but show himself, his emotions to the other, and he got a smile in return. The smile was so bright, so⊠he felt like sunshine was casting itself through a person, like Jaâfar was just made of light, and happiness, and he couldnât be more glad to have fallen for someone so wonderful and bright, and amazing⊠the list could go on. But he couldnât help it. He knew it was strange, at least in Kou, for someone of the same gender to fall in love, but Koumei couldnât find a single reason to care. Not when the person standing right in front of him made him feel so warm, so happy, so⊠at home. Not when he felt like the brightest star in the world was standing right before him, and smiling at him.
Blushing as he was lightly scolded for what he said, he couldnât find it in him to make his smile lessen. Nodding a bit, he listened eagerly to Jaâfar. Well, someday was better than no day, after all. Hearing the worry of his brothers, he put a hand to his chin in thought. âHm⊠I donât think anyone will mind, besides Kougyoku. Sheâd probably be too shocked to comprehend it for a bit, but I think Kouha was onto me.â He laughed lightly, the blush on his cheeks staying still.Â
Though, taking it slow sounded really⊠pleasant. Nodding a bit, Koumei nodded. âOf course.â He agreed gladly, a smile still on his face, until he mentioned the proposal. He nearly didnât catch the slip-up, a blush over his face. âAh, well... â He shuffled his feet a bit, nervousness eating at him for a moment. âW-well, the usual proposal is from a man to woman, so i changed it a bit, butâŠâ He fumbled, speaking quickly out of nervousness. âAh, uhm, Hakuei helped me make this for you, I figured something small was better, so it wouldnât get in your way, b-butâŠâ He nervously put a hand in Jaâfars, a cold metal meeting the generals palm before the redhead pulled back, obviously worried and flustered. In the generalâs palm was a small hairclip, adorned with gold and swirling red designs, a snake winding its way around the thin frame of the clip. âUsually men give women hair-ornaments, but your hair isnât quite long enough, and this is small enough to wear without being too extravagant⊠I-If youâd prefer something different, I can have it arranged, of course.â He was talking quickly again, gaze flitting about nervously.
