Introducing: Vanessa Laveau Age: 22 Height: 5′2″ Specialisation: Undecided FC: Poppy Drayton
Vanessa is the alter-ego that Ursula has cooked up for her schemes. She is the definition of the “perfect girl,” and Ursula has put serious thought into every aspect of her creation. It’s taken her months to perfect the potion that keeps the appearances from fading, that keeps the real Ursula locked away. Vanessa is confident but humble and modest when the situation calls for it, she is beautiful but doesn’t boast about it. She’s never got a hair out place, and her clothes are always well-fitting and just a little more on the not-so-modest side without being over the top or out of line. With heels on, she is closer to Ursula’s natural height, but without them, she’s shorter than Ursula since she’s figured out that people, especially men, tend to be drawn to shorter girls because of an inherent need to protect those they’re close to. She’s noticed taller girls don’t get the same amount of people fawning over them simply because of their height. Ursula chose the last name Laveau to allude to the voodoo queen that was (and still is) famous in New Orleans.
Vanessa’s actual appearance is thanks to the magic that was willingly given to her as a part of a contract she’d had written up with another girl she’d met back home. That contract had fallen through, and in a fit of rage, she’d turned the girl into a fish and had added her to the collection that she had in her aquarium in her room. The girl, whose name she doesn’t remember anymore unless she pulls the contract out, was a part of the foster system and didn’t have any family or friends who cared to come looking for her, hence Ursula’s confidence in using her appearance rather than someone possibly recognisable.

Ursula’s Bedroom
Ursula’s pride and joy will always be her pet fish. So she set an aquarium in one of the walls of her bedroom and now she wouldn’t be able to live without it. The color scheme is muted save for the hints of blue. Her bathroom is much warmer toned compared to her room, but she brought some of the grey and white colors in just to tie it all together.
The Seaworth Manor
This home was bought in the late 1800s by the Seaworth family from the previous owners who the family had once worked for and renovated it to their tastes. The family has a large kitchen (not pictured) where their house elves make their food, but they have a small galley kitchen for snacks and guests and no-majs that visit. Downstairs is where Ursula and her mother make potions and right outside is where their gardens are. There are four seating areas in the home, one of which was converted from one of the five bedrooms. Ursula’s room is on the second floor, along with the master suite and one of the other bedrooms. The last bedroom is on the main floor, but there’s talk of it being turned into an office or study for her father to use.
