Aesthetic: Aftermath
Aftermath [ bt ] Seunghyun / Aya
“Alohomora...”
The syllables rolled off of his tongue in an exotic whisper and the lock on the double french doors softly popped. Icy winter wind pushed the doors apart, infiltrating the room like an unwelcome guest. Seunghyun could only hope his intrusion wouldn’t be perceived as such. Firelight was the room’s only illumination and the cold wind caused the flames to sputter and break until a pair of strong hands had firmly closed the doors.
It was a gross invasion of Aya’s privacy, to say the least, but it didn’t stop her childhood mentor from forcing his way inside. He knew Aya well. He knew the secrets she kept. And he knew that she would refuse gestures from everyone that wanted to console or comfort her. It was the reason he hadn’t bothered writing, bothered calling or bothered knocking at the door. Aya thought she knew how to handle her loss, but Seunghyun felt he knew better.
The fact that no wand was raised against him was troubling itself, but by now even if she hadn’t bothered to look at her intruder, she would’ve been able to smell his familiar cologne. The wizard removed his heavy cape, resting it on the arm of a chair as he quietly approached where his favorite former pupil was sitting on the sofa. He tugged the legs of his pants up ever so slightly before sitting down beside her, following her gaze to the fireplace.
“My condolences, Ayita,” his deep voice rumbled.
Aftermath || Mark & Lexie
Arriving back in the hospital and changing into clean clothes all seemed like a blur. Standing in the middle of the changing room Mark sighed deeply as he rested his head against the locker door, breathing in deeply he could feel his hands scrunch into fists with anger. Anger at himself, he was useless. What happened at that sick hole disappointed Mark beyond belief in himself. He froze. The whole scene brought back dark memories for him. As he bit down on his bottom lip he lifted his phone out and texted Lexie. Lexie would make him feel better, although they had a rocky past which seemed unresolved, Mark didn't care, he needed her.
Mark texted her asking her to meet him in the hospital lobby. Perhaps they could grab a bite to eat together, just something where he could look at her, and she could make him smile like she always did. Lexie always make him feel better, part of him knew deep down Lexie would be the person who would fix him. Making his way down to the lobby, he texted Laine to make sure she was okay and promised her he would drop in to check on her. Standing waiting on Lexie he tried to keep a smile on his face for her arriving.
Aftermath. || Open
Kidnappings were always so cut and dry when they were aired on the news. The person was either found, or they weren't. Not much of a follow up on the news caster's lines unless news was slow and a body was found somewhere. He didn't quite blame them, they usually ended up really bloody and depressing and he or one of his coworkers were always the first to respond to the aftermath.
It almost made him happy that he had escaped, almost. Or rather was left to be found really. It was rather surprising to some how meloncholy he was when he was deemed to be alright. Shouldn't he be happy that the news casters had taken such an interest and wished him the best? Shouldn't he be happy that he was ok'ed to leave the hospital after only having to stay for a few days? Shouldn't he be happy that he escaped with his life? It was very debatable, especially if he had any say in it. What went on was.. not too easy to cover up. But he had to stay positive, he had friends to come back to, people that loved him. He still had his job and wasn't deemed too crazy to have to be put on leave. He even got some stupid award though he didn't do a damn thing, recognition, congrats and promises to help if he ever needed it. It was all very kind; annoying since he'd hidden away for a few weeks to try and see if it would die down, but still kind. It did nothing for him, but it was appreciated none the less.
Right now he had to run in and out of the grocery store, try and make it quick so that he wasn't stopped for too long. He did have work tomorrow but it was only for a few hours. Desk work to make sure he was ok, then he'd be eased out onto the field again. Fingers crossed that no one recognized his face. Fingers crossed.
The Aftermath || Michael & Ruby
Michael wasn't really all that bent out of shape over missing the party. At a school like St. Mary's, he was sure there would be others. It was honestly, being one of the few people not horribly ill with a hangover, because wherever you went somebody was sleeping, moping, or popping an Advil. He knew he was gonna see it, he just never thought it would be this entertaining.
Calvin would be so Hungover he wouldn't move until Wednesday, and Scarlett probably not drunk at all, but she wasn't showing up much anyway. He hadn't seen hind or tail of either of his friends since he got back to the school frankly. However, there was Ruby who seemed like she wasn't as hungover as most and like she wasn't going to hole up completely until classes started again.
After getting the coffee he had promised and figuring out where the girls dorm was, he finally maneuvered his way there, and knocked on the door. He honestly didn't know why he volunteered to do this whole coffee run thing, but it was better than getting an incoherent text from one of his other friends that would need something to day. At least this way he could say he was busy.

Aftermath.
It shouldn't have taken Brandon and the warlock that long to get back to the school, but keeping his footing was difficult when his head was spinning and he felt like he was going to faint any second. And they had to avoid teachers at all costs; there was no sensible explanation for why his clothes were covered in dirt and blood. Reaching his dormitory, he unlocked it with shaking hands and let the two boys in. He didn't know if Dylan was going to stay there or go back to his own room, but he had just assumed that the warlock would stay there with him. He flicked the light on and staggered to the bathroom to assess damage control.
A singular glance in the mirror told him all he needed to know. Blood was still smeared across his face, his nose was broken and bruises were forming on his cheekbones and more prominently, on his left eye. He groaned out loud. Starting water to fill the sink up, he pulled his ruined shirt over his head and tossed it into the corner. He would get rid of it later. He was surprised at himself for not losing it entirely and letting his vampire side out. He just couldn't risk it, too many people were there. He had made a scene, got his side in but there was no need for that level of violence. Dipping his hands into the water, he scooped it up and splashed it face, wiping away the remaining marks. It looked a little better, but not much, and the pain whenever he touched his face was overwhelming. He clung onto the sides of the sink, his knuckle's white with the pressure. When the nausea faded, he felt better.
His fingers scratched through his hair which was knotting with mud and he groaned again. Was Dylan laying down now? He couldn't tell but he couldn't hear movement. Forgetting the sink, he stepped fully clothed – besides his shirt -- into the shower and switched it onto cold. The water hurt at first, awakening tiny but deep scratches on his back and chest from where he had been rolling around onto the floor. Then it soothed him and Brandon made a noise of gratitude. Nothing was broken. Nothing was permanently damaged. He had come off well, and he was relatively pleased with himself for not letting the werewolf get away unharmed. He stood there for ten minutes under the stream of water, then stepped out, dripping water everywhere from his jeans that were soaked through. Sitting on the edge of his bath, he breathed out a sigh. What a night.
