A carousal of twists & turns {Kouyou&Kibum}

A grin appeared on Key’s lips when he saw the reaction to his kiss, while brief Key noticed. Uruha probably knew that as well, the two might not be able to spend a lot of time together, but they were on each other’s level (even if Key would always see himself as ‘higher’ simply by race and age). “I am sure you were a very cute baby.” Could a baby be a grumpy annoying piece of shit? Probably, most likely, yes. Key decided, babies could be. However he imagined that Kouyou had been a quiet baby, never giving his parents much to do as it learned everything very quickly… Or maybe…
Key eyed the man again, his lilacs holding a certain note of intrigue. Maybe Kouyou had been just a normal child until something happened that changed him. Why did he even become the way he was? For the time they spend together Key knew abhorrently little about the other man. “You do not want to expand your fanbase into the world of magical and mystical? Besides maybe you will attract some idiots but who knows- you might find yourself faceing students with great potential that were enchanted by your music… when did you start music, anyway?” he asked, trying to seem casual “Were you always interested in music or did that come at a later age?”
As they held hands, Kibum squeezed slightly “Of course you aren’t, you are not afraid of anything or anyone.” He smiled, kindness lacing his expression as he side-eyed the warlock. Letting go of the hand he had so comfortably held as they got into the ride. The comment about death made the edge of Key’s lips twitch for a moment as something much darker flashed through his eyes. The mention of mortality never a good thing with Kibum who despised the mortal world with every fiber. Purely from an egoistical need to keep those he cared for around as long as he was. However he would not spoil the outing with such thoughts. “I can not make promises about that, I have some connections in purgatory so I will surely come and visit you when I go there on my game nights.”
Little comments like such were usually enough to earn smiles and laughter from any normal-blooded human being. Not Kouyou. Rather, in his case the elf got a scowl-snort combination that amazingly never seemed to leave his face despite the situation they were climbing into at current. “All babies look like bald lumps of misshapen flesh. I’d go as far as saying they all look like misshapen ballsacks with a 3rd attached.” As an afterthought, the warlock wondered exactly how much experience with ball-sack-like children the elf had in his lifetime, since he claimed they could be any variation of the word ‘cute’.
They were getting adjusted, though the amount of time seemed to be quite long since the ride operator was insisting on helping each and every ride-goer to their seat. Kouyou had waved away the help when it came his way with a glare of daggers so powerful, the operator had backed up almost immediately. “Absolutely not. I have no desire to delve into the magical showbiz spotlight. Managing more than one spotlight in my current situation would be far too time consuming. Moreover, I don't want to face students who are enchanted by my music, ugh, the amount of action I would have to take in such an event.” The warlock shook his head with a frown, “It would be terribly annoying.”
There were people rushing past them on the arms of the operator, squeals and giddy conversation filling up the air all around. In front of their little cart, a couple exchanged copious amount of tongue. “I was well into the road of adulthood when I took up music. Seems funny when I think of how talented I turned out to be with it.” Suddenly there was a blast of cheers from around them as clinking noises began to fill the air and Kouyou immediately spotted little gears shifting about in their cart, signaling the ride’s start-up. “It’s sweet you think I would be allowed into the calm chaos of purgatory.” Kouyou laughed then, his face a dark picture of rare excitement. The chains on the railing began to lift their cart up a small incline, clinking audibly in synchronization with other mechanisms in the ride while the air filled with cheers that the ride was at last moving.
As the ride inched them upward at a pace the timing of snails mating, Kouyou impatiently rubbed the surface of the safety bar across his and Kibum’s lap. “Would it be inappropriate to simply speed us along?” Kouyou asked in a moderately-toned shout so that he could be heard above the already-screeching teens that surrounded them.
