"I gotta say pleasure’s all mine" he smiled right back "Say, got any plans for the night?"
“Not really, why?”He tilts his head slightly.
" could use some company, that's all" he offered a smile " how 'bout a lil pj party?"

Kassi was wandering around town with her 3DS, too wrapped up in the new pokemon game to actually pay attention to her surroundings, and soon enough, it was dark out, and the sidewalk she was walking down was lit by street lights, her breath showing in puffs of vapor.
Not that she noticed. The blonde continued down the sidewalk, Game Stop bag hanging from her wrist, hitting her stomach as she walked, eyes trained on the flashing screen that was illuminating her too-pale face.
It was because of this that she nearly ran into the stranger, stopping only a few inches from hitting him, noticing the shadow.
"Excuse me.." She murmured softly, moving to step around him, not looking up.
He saw the light on the girl's game far before she got close. Being the only two people at the street at that time, it was impossible to miss her.
She was hardly even blinking, eyes glued on the screen. She was probably freezing, and couldn't even care. Matt knew how it felt, the sweet addictive motion of a new game in hands. It could only be that, there was nothing else that could bring that expression to one's face.
Matt smiled to himself, maybe she was just like him. "hey, you" he called her, as she was only two steps away from him "don't pass by me like I'm a light pole, that's rude you know?" he teased playfully.

"… ah. I have no objections.”Creamy palms pressed on the light brown painted; metallic table before raising my body. “I have been sitting here since afternoon.” a small smile graced my lips when I followed the young male.
"Oh … I never thought of getting a part time job."leaning against the counter, watching him. It was no wonder, the thought swirled inside my mind, I cherish my own world without the crowds."I am still a student —getting ready for the university entrance exam."
"Pft, avoid it for as long as you can, trust me. Part-time jobs for me are like whores: you need them, but you don't keep one for too long" he chuckled to himself, as if he even had been with a whore before. He was just to full of shit.
"University huh?" matt offered a small smile, almost done with the coffee. Not that he had to do much, really. The coffee machine was pretty much foolproof. "that's fancy, what do you plan on working with in the future?" the redhaired glanced at the other.

Raising an eyebrow, Eridan gave a small scoff at the entirety of the other. He was a human, with that bad of a fashion sense (I mean really, a striped t-shirt, furry body warmer and goggles? Oh no, not on Eridans watch), and yet he was stood here with the audacity to comment that the seadwellers outfit was Halloween costume worthy? He was offended.
"oh yeah because your at the height of fashion aren’t you, human? wwell i hate to disappoint you but this isnt a costume this is howw i look." He snapped. Doesn’t he just make the most wonderful first impressions? He folded his arms over his chest, wrinkling his nose in annoyance as he looked to the side, doing his best to look his Regal best.
The redhaired stopped on his tracks for second, caught off guard by the man's accent. Where the well was that from? It sounded almost wavy! It awkwardly suited his character very well, actually. It was like the male had actually came from the sea.
"What's wrong with stripes??" the geek looked almost offended, looking down at his own fashion train-wreck. "Neevermind it" he puffed his cheeks, ok maybe his style wasn't the greatest, but at least he wasn't playing dress-up in public "Are you going to a convention or something?"

Flickering eyes down at the smoke dancing up from the tip of the cigarette— which smelled foul— Lucy noticed how skidding and nervous the young man was. He must have been in a rush, either that or he may be completely awkward around others. From the looks of it, the red head was stumbling over his words.
"… Lucy," the diclonius would eventually respond, her voice surprisingly alto. Perhaps this young man would be of enough entertainment for the moment, "—are you from around here, Matt? I could use a little assistance…"
The geek knew exactly what he looked like. A junkie, holding his cigarette for dear life with trembling hands. Cold turkey, ladies and gentleman, is definitely something he won’t try again. Hell, he hardly tried. In all honesty, spending 10 hours without smoking shouldn’t be called cold turkey, but in his case, it was.
"That’s a pretty name" he commented, taking another drag, shorter this time, and holding it inside his mouth for good three seconds. He rolled his tongue around, feeling the smoke move against it, before blowing it to the side. "I live right over there, do you need a place to crash for the night?" he raised an eyebrow. It wouldn’t be weird to have someone over, so she’d be welcome anytime, although the idea of having a girl in his apartment was a bit too much for the nerdy boy to handle.
You don't even know why you were back here on the lake Hold your head in your hands looking up at the moon light, you quickly "swim" your way up, your ears perked, you heard someone walking. Maybe you could scare them? Become friends with them? Haunt them? Well you'll think about it You look at the direction from where the noise is coming from and hide in the water, you hated this place. All the bad memories it brought back but, you just had a feeling you NEEDED to go heard.
He stood at the margin of the lake, dangerously close to the water. Funny thing, water. Even if the redhaired couldn't swim for his life, he still had the urge to jump in it, to feel it, to be wrapped confortably by it. It was almost ridiculous how water affected people, and Matt was no exception.
Going in for a swim would be silly, and dangerous, so he simply sat there, at the edge, and picked a small flat rock, aiming it at the water before throwing it horizontally, making it skip on the shadowy surface.

"Thanks. I have some experience." Already, he was holding back from smiling at him. It was unusual he’d meet someone that didn’t look at him oddly for being in this section.
"Sure." Near shoved his hands into his pockets, and shrugged. "I’ve come here a couple of times, but I don’t think we’ve met. It sort of feels like we have."
"Nah, I'd remember you, plus I haven't been working here for long,so-" he shrugged, mimicking the other's movement, "Name's Mail, Mail jeevas. But be kind and call me Matt" he offered a small smile. His name was embarassing. The amount of jokes he'd heard during his school years cus of his name was ridiculous.
"how about you, how can I call you?"
fraying-strings
"ouch" he rubbed his face, the sensitive flesh was probably reddening with the shape of her fingers already, Damn why was he so pale? "Ok ok fair enough, sorry" he held both hands up "but seriously are you ok? you don’t look ok at all" he said nervously, worried that shed run away again
She slid one of her feet back so she was in a fighting stance, wanting to be prepared for anything this guy tried to do. Despite the obvious genuine surprise he expressed when she slapped him, she still didn’t know if this man was a creep or not. “I’m fine,” she snapped. “What makes you think I’m not?”
He was taken back by her body language. It was honestly surprising, if not amusing, to see someone taking a fighting stance that automaticaly. It was such a flawless form, much like the ladies from one of his mortal kombat games. It was so tense it was almost plastic, maybe she was used to it? He was not in the mood to know.
"Cause, first things first-" he lowered his hands slowly "you look lost-" he took a step back, to give her a bit of personal space maybe? "and now you look like a cornered animal, if you'll excuse the expression.."

"I’m just telling you like it is," he replied harshly, crossing his arms over his chest. "And just like you said, it’s not like you’ll become one, so why does it even matter what I say about it?"
After joining the mafia and doing some not so good things in order to figure out who Kira was, Mello had dropped the question on whether he was a good person or not. It was a waste of time and he didn’t really like to think about it. “I don’t think it’s any of your damn business how I know these things. And whether I’m a ‘good guy’ or not, I’ll still kick your ass if you make me angry.”
'0o0oh I'm scared" the redhaired smiled widely. Yeah sure, he could get his ass kicked anytime. Even if he did, it would be just like highschool, really. Drag his skinny ass back home, miss a few days of class and get back in shape. He was used to it, and it was not like his father was a gentle man either, so honestly, he was completely used to it.
The blonde looked like someone who could walk with a gun shoved up his ass, and his last statement only made Matt think of him as the bad guy. Now, what most people d when they meet a bad guy? they run, right? maybe smooth their way out by apologizing, then run.
But Matt didn't treasure his life as much as other people did, so he was, in fact interested on the other. Dangerously interested. "What if I pay you a drink and you tell me more about what you'll do to my ass?" he tried his luck. Ops, wait. It sounded a wrong, oh my. Sexual innuendos aside, once the words slip his mouth, there was no turning back.
Said blond was resting against the pole of a street light a fair distance away from him, snapping piece after piece off of the candy bar in his right, gloved hand, leaving his left hand free in case he fell into a situation where the firearm tucked in his jacket would be needed. Dark shades hid his icy blue eyes and part of the scarred flesh that covered the left side of his face.
I shouldn’t be out here. Continuously, he scolded himself for leaving his apartment, especially when he was wanted by nearly every legal agency in the area. But he needed to get out and be somewhere other than the stuffy room that he barely kept clean anymore. Depressed, lonely, unmotivated. That’s what he’d become after he’d “died”.
Feeling as if he were being watched, he moved his free hand to the inside of his jacket before slightly turning his head in the direction he felt it was coming from. Mello squinted his eyes at the figure staring in his direction before having to remove his shades to see the other male clearly. The fact that his left eye was partially blinded now didn’t exactly help in distinguishing the stranger’s features, either.
As far as the rebel was concerned, it was just a geeky teenager that he shouldn’t be wasting his time wondering about. He couldn’t exactly help it, though. Yes, the blond was stared at whenever he was out in public, but, this time, it felt different.
Most people look away when they are caugh staring.
Well screw most people, Matt was intrigued. Shades out, now the redhared could see the other side of the man's face. Something inside him twiched, he felt nauseous. That blonde, with such a gorgeous face, had a huge scar covering his features.
Matt couldn't really tell why he felt so sick at that sight. It shouldn't be a big deal, but, he felt like someone had kicked him right in the stomach. He felt a mixture of sadness with a burning anger, as if someone had hurt someone he cherished.
But he didn't know that man, he shouldn't be sad about him, right? Scars are thing swe carry around, everyone have them. Some people more than others, but still. It's not a big deal.
'no big deal'. With that thought alone, the redhaired got up. He didn't think exacly on what he'd say to the man, as he approached him. He simply threw his cigarette away, not bothering to step on it, and walked towards him.
'who are you' 'do I know you?', questions popped on his head, he couldn't choose one. So when he reached the leather-covered man, he only managed s much. "How" he said, voice low, eyes sharp on the other "Your scar- how?".
