What is your favourite headcanons or theories about the show? I feel like there are so many theories that we don’t talk about. Like what’s behind that locked door? Who is Runa’s father? Consider this an excuse to talk about them. I don’t care how ridiculous or insane it may sound, I want to hear them.

I know this might be pushing it a little but….

In Episode 6 “The Bet Gala” after Mary and Ryan get up from the table, Riri is seen walking towards them in the background and her gaze follows Mary as she walks past her and leaves the room. Riri is holding what appears to be a deck of cards in her hands.

What if she was trying to ask Mary to the Bet Gala by challenging her to a card game? An “If I win I take you on a date” type of thing, but Mary left before she could challenge her.

Their next scene together Mary and Ryan are in the gambling den and they see the bet board says “ODDS 2/1 | MARY + RIRI @ BET GALA”. That’s when Mary see’s Riri sitting on the stairwell and walks over to her. Riri then asks Mary to go with her (in her own way). My theory is that the bet board was Riri’s back up plan. Her original plan was to beat Mary in a game because she knows how much Mary loves games. This was also around the time Mary stopped cheating, so Riri would’ve had the advantage over her. Spoken like she wasn’t second in the whole school, but you get what I mean.

I don’t care if it makes sense or not, this is now my favorite headcanon.

I gave it more thought and realized Riri might have been fidgeting with the cards because she was nervous about asking Mary, like she was afraid she’s say no and the cards were a nervous habit. Riri asking Mary was the first time we see her talk to someone that isn’t Kira. Another headcanon is Riri doesn’t play with them, only when she’s really anxious. Arkadi would have noticed this habit early and forced it out of her, since he would see it as a tell. He would correct everything Riri did that displayed any type of emotion. Hence the mask.

I see your ‘Riri is only getting close to Mary to gather intel on Yumeko under Kira’s orders’ and raise you ‘Riri started getting close to Mary because of Kira, but that just gave her the excuse she needed to finally act on her feelings for Mary.’ or ‘Riri fell in love with Mary and now it’s not fake anymore.’

Do you think Riri kept Mary’s student council jacket after taking it from her in episode 1? Like maybe she kept it in her room, waiting for her to make it back into the top 10, just so she could be the one to give it back it to her. Because we know that Riri liked Mary before Yumeko came to the school (or at least it was heavily implied). So it would make sense that she would keep it. In their scenes together, Riri was always nice to Mary. I just don’t see her throwing away the jacket or leaving it in the student council room for someone else to use.

Hear me out. Are we using meariri as Mary x Riri’s ship name or are we going to create a new one for them? I’ve seen people using meariri for both Mary Davis x Riri Timurov and Mary Saotome x Ririka Momobami. They are different characters from their Kakegurui counterparts and while it was inspired by Kakegurui, It’s a completely different show. It’s not like there’s a lot of opinions we can call them instead, because their names are just too similar. Here’s some I thought of: Rimavis, Davirov, and Matim.
