I’m kind of a usual teen. / Beginner

I’m afraid of love

but there is nothing

I crave more

than having someone to adore    

I can picture it in my head

how it would be

somebody who loves me for me 

all these people

searching for the same thing

never getting their fill

who’s to say

I won’t be just like them

scared and disappointed in the end

but what can you do

other than try

and hope that you will thrive

because really

you simply have to choose

take a chance or lose

I don’t care if my parents don’t like me.

They love me anyway.

I make silly things like pee in the tree trunk

On a night out with friends drunk.

I love being in love

That’s our destiny.

I fall in love two times a week.

I make jokes and tell it to my friends.

They laugh it out loud

But my parents don’t like them.

My mom got tears in her eyes

When I’m on the stage

Of the school hall.

She acting weirdly when I don’t tell about him.

But please.

I have life and I don’t wanna say things like

I have a date on Saturday evening.

So trust me it’s not a wedding

Next week.

I go out for pizza,

And hang on the kids park.

This is how it likes

This is the teen spirit of life.

So do what you want

And live a life only once.

A letter to the stars

the galaxies of darkness have swallowed the lukewarm sun,

frozen stars staring time in its weathered face, droplets

of liquid stardust laced into a seashell necklace. a kindly

smile, and the universe finds its breath. dear e, how many wars

have you tasted on your tongue? smears of red

etching life into spirals of cold grey, please hold my hand

when shooting stars sweep me off my feet. you have done

more than enough, e, and now the lullabies of golden

snowflakes are what guide me now. dig this grave into

molten lava with me, and let us burn. sometimes

the world needs to catch fire.

The room is empty

You are not here

I’m hanging on my bed, alone,

It’s blind dark here, and you are not here.

Your arms don’t hug me,

I’m scared.

I’m dreading.

I am a teen,

I make mistakes as teens do.

I hurt myself also, by hurting my love.

It was love at first sight,

And I ended it because of an other guy.

Am I silly or just crazy.

I must say I’m silly,

Because I’m still fall for him.

And I won’t stop it until

Someone come

And make me feel there wasn’t that one.

I want to feel I’m not worthless.

I wanna be a girl with success.

It’s hard for everybody,

But I feel I can do it.

And at the end of my life

Small but important acts of kindness:

Smile at everyone you see. You never know what is going on inside of a person, a smile might be the only good thing in someone’s day. It can change and save lifes.

Listen. Really listen when someone talks about their day, work, or any problems they might be facing. A lot of us often feel unheard and ignored and showing someone that you really care by listening can make them feel loved and as if they do matter.

Hold doors open. This may sound cliche but I experience it every day and when people do that for me, it makes me feel so good.

Let people cross the street. When you are driving and you see someone who wants to cross the street, stop and let them. Also, when another car wants to drive out of a parking space etc., stop and let them.

Write letters. Actually, we do not show enough affection and love to one another. So, for birthdays, anniversaries or even just like that, sit down and write a letter to a person that means a lot to you and include all the things you love about them. You can also just text them and tell them what they mean to you. No matter how you like to do it, just do it. It literally boosts everyone’s mood.

Offer your help. Whenever you see someone struggling with something, do not hesitate to ask them if they need help. Chances are they will be super grateful, because they were ashamed to ask for help themselves. We have all been there.

Kindness is such an important factor in society. Sometimes I feel like there is rarely any kindness anymore because we are either anxious about the other person’s reaction, or we are so busy with our own world, that we simply forget that there are other people in other worlds as well. Kindness can change lives. Not only the lives of others but yours as well. So, I challenge you to be kind today and spread love and positivity.
