It’s been such a long time since I went on here. At the beginning of this school year I told myself I wanted to use Tumblr more as a motivator, but here we are lol.
So since the last time I was here, I was in my maternity rotation. Currently, I am in my community health rotation and just finished mental health clinical. I’m also taking global health, palliative, and this course called policy, politics and professional nursing. Community health has been a struggle because it’s a 2 day/week online clinical. So 9 am-5pm at home. It’s been so challenging because all I want to do is lay in bed and my self control is nonexistent when it comes to procrastinating. I’m so relieved it’s done in 2 weeks.
On that note, I am almost done my ALL my theory courses for my degree. Just 3 more weeks until finals. I have one more clinical this summer, which is palliative, and then off to senior practicum in September. It’s such a rewarding feeling that I’m almost done. I expected this term to be easy since it’s the last one, but nope. They had to decide that this term was the term to challenge me. But hey, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Desk update! I feel like I’m always changing my desk every term.
It’s a slow process, but quitting won’t speed it up.

Tomorrow is my maternity and pediatric final exam. My internet provider decided to do some maintenance so I have no internet for 6 hours. My room also has no heater so I am freezing. Looks like it’ll be one of those nights.
On the bright side, I have two weeks off before my new term. Counting down the hours!

I changed my desk space! Having a second screen helps a lot with online classes.
I had skills review yesterday and clinical orientations start next week at the hospitals we are placed in. This term I am doing my surgery rotation and got placed in a vascular/thoracic unit. I am nervous yet excited!
My desk set up for this year. Trying to have less clutter haha.
First Day Back
Today was my first day back. I woke up at 5:30 am, had my coffee, took a shower, made my to-do lists, inputted all the important dates on my calendar, cleaned my apartment (if you're like me, I need a clean space to function lol), and I took a nap. Then I pulled out all the course schedules to see which task I can tackle first and which class to watch first (some introduction to the classes were pre-recorded) and I froze. I started to feel overwhelmed with how much stuff I needed to do in this month alone.Â
Have you ever had days like that? Where you're productive one minute and a complete potato the next because of a decision? Today was one of those days. In the past, I would just ignore whatever I needed to do and lounge around watching YouTube or on Pinterest looking at studying tips or how to be productive tips and feeling sorry for myself. However, I’ve grown a bit this past year and I try to keep a positive mentality. I told myself that I did a lot today and tomorrow is another day.Â
Let’s tackle it one day at a time. We can reset when we wake up.
